I've decided that it may be beneficial to compile a [wiki]ToDoList[/wiki] to track various outstanding tasks, so that we have a good idea of what's lacking in the wiki.
The purpose of this thread is to gather information. Have you spotted pages that you think are in a fairly primordial state and desperately need finishing? Which topics that have come up in the forum haven't made it into the wiki yet?
At least if there's some kind of record, it will be less likely that material is left out, and the wiki will be better for it.

Good idea!
The scripting reference definitely needs work (and probably splitting into multiple pages, eventually); I basically copied and pasted that out of an editor log file (with a bunch of formatting changes which were mostly done with search and replace in a text editor).

What kind of improvement do you have in mind for the scripting reference? An explanation of each condition and action or just a bit more information about the scripting system and its pitfalls?

Trying to categorise the script commands would be a good start - you want to be able to look up the right command for a particular task.

All of the above, eventually. 8)
But yeah, categorising should come first.

Ok, yet another question: What kind of categorising would you prefer? I've made a list of all conditions and actions categorised in the same manner as they appear in the script manager (just a text file with the blue group names as headers and the grouped items listed underneath). Should I just dump that list on the page or should I make links to subpages for all the conditions and actions to be explained in detail later?
And how would I do that? I'm new to wiki editing and I don't know how to best organize it. Currently the wiki interprets all the wiki names on the page as links (e.g. LinkFlavor), but how can I format the whole condition/action line as a link and not lose the wiki name (where it makes sense)? Or would it be better to put a link to the subpage behind the lines? What is most wiki-like?

The (
http://www.ttlg.com/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=ShallowWater) Shallow Water tutorial needs some clarification and generally is poorly laid out. Pictures would be nice. The thing is I'm not really keen on going in and screwing with someone else's work because if they don't like the changes they might throw a fit, change it back, etc.

Doctormidnight, I wrote the shallow water wiki based on someone elses research and scumble submitted it for me. He owns the page, but was kind enough to put my name on it. As far as I'm concerned, change away! :thumb:

I'm beginning to understand how this whole thing works, and now I'm confused more than ever :p
How am I to make seperate explanation pages for each script condition or action when the wiki only accepts strings without spaces and uses everything after the first space as the link description? I thought about using numbers, but I guess that doesn't fit the wiki concept. I don't think I can make a good wiki name out of an action that is 170 characters long :wot:

you don't really have to make a page for each one - they just have to be categorised usefully so that there are only a handful on each page (ideally)
