I think it would be cool if there was a internet version of systemshock1 that would work with the wii.

I think it would be cool if I could light a man afire with my mind.
See? I can post random crap too!
Seriously, though, there's pretty much no chance that will happen. However, the motion-sensitive controllers would be ideal for the game's freelook system, and a SHTUP'd version of SS1 that I could play in my living room would be very cool indeed. But it's not gonna happen. And what do you mean by internet version? Do you mean with MP enabled? I wasn't aware that SS1 even had a multiplayer component.

It doesn't. And a wiishock.....it
might be cool, but it's never gonna happen.

System Shock 1 is one of the few games that would absolutely rock with the Wii controller - provided you could do it right.
I know there was a video where someone had adapted his Wii Controller to work with Half-Life 2. Any idea if similar could work for the Shock games?

HalfLife 2 is slightly younger than System Shock, so it might be harder getting SS1 working with the Wii.

No.

While likely still valid, it wasn't getting HL2 onto a wii, it was making the computer recognize and interpret the wii controllers. In theory while it might still be impossible, it would be slightly
less impossible.

Exactly. The problem is that I don't remember if either Shock game had joystick support. It would be really intresting to see someone get it working though.

System Shock has simple 2-axis joystick support, allowing move forward/backwards and turning but not view tilting or strafe. It also has VR headset-tracking, so if someone could figure out a way to emulate the input from the headset (without forcing the game to try and render to the headset as well) then those inputs could be used for freelook.
In theory, it would be possible with a lot of rigging to get a wii-style control system going where the wand controls the mouse pointer, and the nunchuk thumbstick (mapped directly to joystick axes X and Y) controls movement. The nunchuk tilt could control viewpoint, but that would be weird as well.
