Originally posted by MaxSkills heh, cool i started a thread that got more than 5 replies. Im glad everyone else see's what i see going on with the youth of america. I to have a system in my car but i dont go overboard with it, and i turn it down at red lights. And as for eminem, i like music were the artist doesnt give a damn, cause that shows he is in it just for a good time and he raps way better than any other rapper that has ever existed.
From what ive seen, every question that is a spoiler for a quest or a certain item in the game is welcome by everyone in this forum with an answer.
I just wanted this post to discourage lazy minded individuals from asking questions that are easily answered with the manual or the search button. Man this thread went WAY off topic, lol Interesting. You know what's really scary? Over 200 years ago Benjamin Franklin made a similar complaint about the youth of his time. Sixty years ago, my great-grandfather made the comment that because intelligent people limit their offspring and uneducated people reproduce with no such restraint, the uneducated and unintelligent would over-run the world. Seems like we're getting there rapidly.
I think the scariest thing of all is the number of extremely intelligent people who can neither write a coherent sentence nor spell any but the easiest words correctly. And they don't seem to care! :grr:
The comments that started this thread, about asking simple questions, is one of my pet peeves as well. I'll answer them, I have yet to comment on the fact that the question has been answered fifty times. Even so, I get tired of answering questions that I figured out the answers to by either reading the manual or simply playing the game. For example, how difficult is it to figure out where Fargoth's hiding place is? You're practically given the answer when you get the quest.
Granted, some quests are hard, some things are really hard to find even with instructions and the NPCs give really lousy directions. The tomb where the poor merchant got caught in a sand storm isn't easy to find, but if you search on Redoran quests or other similar phrases, you'll find that it's been answered more than once. Why ask again? I would think that searching is faster than asking. You don't have to wait for an answer. ;) Wow, I'm ranting too. It's an easy topic to rant about. Of course, if you get the answer to enough "dumb" questions, you can begin answering them too.
ENOUGH already! (said to self) You've ranted long enough here. Post the darn message already...

i just wanna add that i dont judge people by their looks, but i hear about 5 sentences of what someone has to say before i realize the extent of someones stupidity, like alot of the youth in the mall who is only concerned with their fake image that they are trying to put on. of course many will realize how stupid they are acting after maturing a few years, everyone goes through that phase i guess. I dont really wanna offend anyone.

Originally posted by BHxPrexus art, you really need to take a second on your comment and reflect on yourself. Generally, the only people that say things like that are indeed themselves overweight, nerdy and QUITE queer. And maxskills is right, there is no need to have the same question asked multiple times, when there is a search button. Indeed, I believe you yourself is the one who stalks girls at the mall, and has no outside life other than Morrowind. I am a rather large (but skinny) nerd, with a wife, 4 kids, and a job that hasn't afforded me much time at the mall in years. I found my post to be quite humorus. I was/am fed up with reading all of the arguing about searching. Since my post I realize that a "persuasion" attempt might have been more productive than a "taunt" and so I present my idea to make this forum (and the world) a nicer place.
If you see a post of a question that appears repeatedly, instead of taking your time to trash the person for not searching why don't you search on a word or two to confirm that the information that the person is looking for would be returned and then reply with something like
Welcome to the forum. This forum contains quite a large database of information about the game. I have searched the data on the following words: enchant, soul, gem to confirm that the information that you are looking for is available. I hope this helps you and thanks for checking in.
ok what does everyone think?

*nod* It's what I try to do whenever I can. Also, something else I do when I can is if I can't find it using ultra-simple search terms (eg: Rubatuba's point re: spelling) but I find it because I know something newbies don't (I posted it, or I remember it has this one special term in the thread somewhere) then I use ultra-simple terms in my post and link to the thread that has the info. Then, when newbies search for the simple terms they'll find that post and from there the 'proper' thread.
