Little Liam was born at 4:44am on Jan 13th (due date) and came in at a respectable 3.44 kg. So far this fatherhood gig has been fucking awesome, even with all the usual bumps, and it's only getting better as he has now started doing this:

Oh, wait...just a baby....lower your weapons down, people.
Congrats on your initiation to fatherhood. May the little tyke give you as much headaches as he gives you reasons to be happy! :)
Also...I don't keep track of most members, but seeing you announce your dissapearace does make me realize you were awfully quiet...glad to have you back and with the best of news :)
Cheers!

Well done chief - another glorious warrior for the army in the eternal battle against The Sith.

Welcome back to the fold sir, and congratulations on fatherhood. Bright little pup you have there.
As a fellow cinephile, prepare to lose one of your most favourite things (going to the cinema) unless you have a super-awesome baby-sitting support structure in which case, enjoy (you bastard).
Catch up on all the drama in Kolya's thread in Forums and TTLG network! :D

Actually I have an amazing wife who doesn't mind if I go to the cinema alone or with friends (a couple of weeks ago I saw Crazy Heart and this week it'll probably be Precious). In fact she downright forces me to go since she obviously knows how much a complete film dork I am and I repay the favour by taking care of the little man solo so she can go visit friends, go horse-riding etc. We trying to make sure that we can still do many of the things we used to do. Obviously we'll be doing them much less often but it's working well so far.
And yeah, we do actually also have a 'super-awesome baby-sitting support structure' in place (much of the family live in the same city) so we got that covered too! :p

Yeah, you can't put a price on that shit.
I took a while to finally start going to the cinema myself because while I may be a "SHUT THE FUCK UP THE PREVIEWS ARE ON" person, I love to immediately discuss the emotional/enjoyment aftermath of a movie with the person next to me - especially if it's a movie like The Dark Knight where I excitedly gibber about the bit where the batpod hit the wall and flipped and OMG AWESOME :D
ninja-edit: you couldn't pay me to watch a movie like Precious. How was Crazy Heart?
