Most of it. Not IPA, though... too hoppy. Or American Budweiser and the like--*gag*

What, no trip to Oz? :(
Jennie&Tim on 24/4/2008 at 03:45
Oh, how wonderful. Hope you have a great trip. I like you, Butcher and Green (been reading him since Hawk & Fisher first came out), so I'll have to give your forth guy a try. Library Ho!

I would like to take this opportunity to officially propose something I have been hinting at to various TTLGians... and since Lady Blue will be gracing me with her presence here in the Denver area, I can only conclude that this would be a perfect opportunity to rally any/all troops for another EPIC adventure...
TTLG DENVER 2008
I now live about 25 miles from the center of Denver (15 miles from Denver airport) in a house large enough to host what could potentially be the slumber party of the century (there are also, of course several motels in the immediate vicinity and, of course a mega-multitude of accommodation choices in/around Denver itself). As many of you know, MrLedd makes beer (very good beer that wins awards) and keeps a stock to satisfy the snobbiest of beer snobs. We also have what is turning into a well-equipped music studio. And for the gun enthusiasts (or anyone planning on invading a small country), we've got you covered there too. I'm working on the idea of adding a hot tub to our backyard, though I believe I'll have better luck once the weather warms up a bit ;)
And then we have the endless Denver entertainment/nightlife possibilities...
And thus the proposal is on the table... :cheeky:

I was just thinking that since Blue is going to Ipswitch / Norfolk how about a TTLG Cambridge meet while she is in the area?
Punting and pimms on the Cam while watching tourists punt round and round in circles is always good for a laugh.
Of course, that depends on how much slack there is in Blue's schedule.
Strangeblue on 25/4/2008 at 20:08
Unfortunately, those Ipswich and Norfolk dates are family things I don't have any schedule flexibility with. Can't make a meet. :(
crunchy: no Oz this year. Only so much time and budget, alas! more :(
Heheheh... Denver.... I'm flying in Wednesday August 6, since I have to be in Seattle on the Fifth. I expect things will be pretty slack until Friday when the Con gets busy. Somewhere in there I'm supposed to go to Tattered Cover but I don't know when--the publicist lady is working on it. Then I leave Sunday or Monday and head back to Seattle, then Portland, San Francisco, and San Diego. And then I'm back to work to deliver Manuscript #4 by October 1.
Hey... that can't be right... I need Mr Ledd Beer! Well, just have to carve time!

Jetseting and living the dream girl. All the advice I can give is not to try pushing your way past the fellows in the red coats and funny hats claiming to be a diplomatic attache'. Indignance does not sway them. Staggering probably doesn't help either.
Strangeblue on 26/4/2008 at 04:45
Hey, staggering I can do--especially after 8 hours on a plane.

Promise to let me know if you make it by Square Books in Oxford Mississippi will you? I don't know why but a lot of famous authors do. They do a reading on Thacker Mountain Radio then a wine and cheese signing thing. It's a small venue but for some reason the foo foo thing to do.
Strangeblue on 3/5/2008 at 07:15
No luck with Oxford Miss, yet, but I will have a signing in London at Murder One on Thursday May 15. And afterward... the drinking!
