Looking forward to London, but wish I was going to have more time--only 8 days in town and only 12 total in England. :p I need to do a lot of research on areas and ghosts for Book 4--which has a big London segment.
Hi Blue! Good to see you. :) What dates will you be in London? Are you going to spend the entire 12 in London town or are you going to try to get to other areas?
I Imagine MsLedd is going to be very happy to find you in her neck of the woods in August. A toaster is spared.

Hi. If you want any info about London I am pretty much the man to ask. I'm a writer myself and I'd be happy to help you since I have first hand experience of the place.

Fahrd: Yeah... I'm not sure what god I pleased to make that happen. Tom's kind of the new kid on that particular block (sort of... he writes YA books and comics with Christopher Golden, but he's got a solo novel coming out soon), so I suspect there was a bit of "what can we do to move those Tom and Kat books...?" discussion and some bright wag thought pinning us to Butcher and Green's stars was the answer. Which we hope it is, of course! I've never met Tom, but I have met Butcher and Green and they're both terrific. I hope we get to do something goofy, like a mass-signing, once that volume comes out. Wouldn't that be a hoot?
Ton: I'm really pleased they asked for more. (Yay! I get to stay out of corporate America for another 3 years!)
Hi Shadow Creeper! Umm... Arriving May 8 in London, then have some family business in Ipswich May 10-11 (possibly May 12 too). Back to London May 12 or 13-17, then off to Norfolk for some more family stuff before we head back to the States May 20. I wanted to stay longer, but the hubby has to be on-call starting May 21 and changing the flights back is so expensive, I think I'm stuck with the schedule as is. Somewhere in there I'm supposed to "lunch" with the UK publisher but when... I don't know.
dcool: Should probably get in touch via e-mail and chat. Since I've got such a limited time to do my research, I'm hoping to pick the brains of locals for good creepy stuff I can incorporate and some ideas for settings to check out. I can't possibly find everything neat in the time I have.

I think there are a bunch of translations (German, Russian, Romanian and Polish, Chinese is already out--Sorry Ducky, no Spanish yet) of the first book coming out soon...
No worries, beautiful. I generally talk, write, listen and understand English better than most here do so with Spanish (save for the Spanish native speakers ;)).*
*Don't hit me, guys <3...I wub ya :D

Beer! Yes! In London! I can't wait. (yum!)
Your English is fabulous Ducky. I just think it's fun to read in other languages. I wish I did. Alas... typical Norte Americana....;)

You'll be fine for weird stuff in London really, more likely to be stymied by the sheer array of options. It's filthy with tours, walks, attractions and so forth all devoted to spooky stuff. Every other building has a story. Geological surveys show veins of carbon black and calcium white; the place is built on fire! and Blood! and DEATH! It's great.
Oh, and Hiee. I shall keep an eye out for these books of yours. They must be doing alright if there's a series in the offing.

Aw, you're a cute gringa, I forgive you
I agree that it's fun to read in other languages, but I usually prefer it if A)it's the work's language of origin and B)I understand it ;)
Ah, hope to read one of your novels one of these days.
:D
