A
certain person (*caugh*Scotstaffer*cough*) has been kicking my ass about not showing up here any more and telling y'all what I've been up to. Which is mostly because I think it's boring to read about the process of writing books and not starving to death while it's done. But hey, here y'go: (
http://us.penguingroup.com/static/html/blogs/imprints/roc-ace) This week I'm blogging for the publisher.
And because
another certain person threatened to bathe with a toaster if I wasn't better about saying when I'd be in town, I'm compelled to tell you that in May, I'm going to London--yeah, the one in England, not the one in Canada--and I'll be in Denver CO for the new book release in August, just in time for WorldCon.
There, now Ms. Ledd won't kill me and Scots won't have to boot me in the ass again.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled fora....

Well thanks for that! Now we know! See, it wasn't so hard.

Tut... can't you see the blood, man! Oh the horror, the horror....

Have a great trip to Londinium, ´blue.
Meanwhile, I´ll be buried nose-first in your books, which should appear shortly on my doorstep delivered by 1) tiny, tiny fairytale elves, or 2) the local postman. I´m kinda hoping for some exotic option #3), but the Danish Postal Service is so fucking unimaginative these days...
Whatever the means (and agents) of delivery, I´m sure I´ll enjoy every single page, knowing how talented a writer you are. :thumb:

So what is the name of your new book, and where can I pick up a copy? Do you have a link to a description?

You are in it as Harper's invisible friend, who is so invisible that not even she is aware of him.
Hi Blue :D

Hi you guys! (Awww... you make me feel all silly.)
Personally, I believe in Postal Demons--judging by the capricious nature of the deliveries and state of that delivered.
Next book is titled "Underground" and it'll be out August 5 in both the US and the UK (and Canada.) (
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Underground/Kat-Richardson/e/9780451462121/?itm=3) Linkage... (because Amazon still doesn't have a cover pic up.)
I think there are a bunch of translations (German, Russian, Romanian and Polish, Chinese is already out--Sorry Ducky, no Spanish yet) of the first book coming out soon, but I'm not sure when and there's audio for the first three, but again I don't know when. Something, something... blah, blah... Wrote a werewolf short story that's due in an anthology that might be out in October, but might be next year... (no one tells me these things) and working on a novella for a 4-writer anthology ("Mean Streets") with Jim Butcher and Simon Green and Tom Sniegoski, but again, no idea of the pub date.
Looking forward to London, but wish I was going to have more time--only 8 days in town and only 12 total in England. :p I need to do a lot of research on areas and ghosts for Book 4--which has a big London segment. (Yup there's gonna be a book 4 and a book 5 and a book 6. Yay!)
Why Turtle, my love, I couldn't tell you I'd put you in the book... then you might sue me. ;)

Already sharing billing with giants of the pulp urban fantasy noir genre  . Congrats, 'Blue.
