Why does Lotus call Cetus amicus " Horror of the sees " - its just a regular submarin

why is Lotus in thief 2 claiming that cetus amicus is " the horror of the sees ". It has nothing to do with the storydevelopment. All it does is shipping Karrasses crew from A to B . It has no weapons - no mutoxgas -nor is it really big...

so why making this ship so speacial ?

did the makers miss a story out about cetus amicus because it would be a too long story ? were they just to lazy to develop more so they can finish the game quickly ?

i think thief 2 had pretttyyyyyyyyy much potential to make it a longer story.

showing how some mechanist unite with garett after seeing what a fraud Karrass was.... so sad !

Something doesn't have to have weapons to be a horror. Remember Lotus is from a group of people who live amongst trees in mud huts. Any large machine is bound to be horrific to them, but for most people in Thief (not just pagans), the only things that move in the sea are fish, porpoises, whales etc. So of course the Cetus Amicus is going to be abhorrent. You call it a "regular submarin" [sic], but in Thief this is the only submarine.

P.S. You're still holding your phone vertically before you start recording. Alternatively you could probably use Fraps, BandiLegs or some other recording software.

i think its way exxagerated to call it horror of the seas. and i have a huntch that they missed some parts of the story ...maybe because the mega bites were not enough on a cd and they didnt want to use an expensive dvd ?

ps i record my videos not horisontal because it wouldnt stand .... i lean it on my laptop while i pplay... horizontally it always falls

There are some free capture programs out there, and you don't have to worry about the camera falling over. :D
