The people here do like to bite from time to time, but mostly its just playful nipping and the bites can be cleaned with peroxide.
I truly thought you were joking about ICQ as a play on your being new to posting in forums (hence new to messaging and next you would be asking me what email was just to see how long you could keep me answering).

OK, well here is a new twist... Guys have a notorious tendency to respond to this situation in a very programmed (almost uncanny) manner:
Say I am hanging out with a couple guy friends and they talk about a third friend a lot whom I do not know. Eventually I may become interested and inevitably ask. " So is MR X hot or what?" Never, NEVER could I get any real form of an answer. I always get, "Well I don't know, I'm a guy, how do I know if he's attractive or not?" AHHH!
(I think this my be why blind dates don't work...)
Ok, so what does this phenomenon have to do with anything? Well some people say that they like to play a girl and dress her up to be desirable... do you do this for male characters? Or do you simply just REALLY KNOW what traits and what combinations make an attractive looking male? Why do you make your male characters the way you do?:idea:

How much of this hot-ness is derived from the weather I cannot say though :cool:
But I know that when I play I like to make male as well as female chars look as cool as possible... Remeber daggerfall? - Sure you do! You could equip two capes at the same time... Black and red were my favorites - and it didn't matter wether the char. was male or female! So on that part I must express my indifference as to which sex I choose to play!

This is just sexual insecurity at work. Guys know what their standards for attractive are. Whether it be women or men. They just choose not to get into it at the risk of sounding even remotely gay. These are probably the same guys who have to sit one seat apart at movie theaters as well (I used to be one of those guys).
When I play male characters, I try to create him to fit the style of the character I was going for. The same goes for when I'm playing female characters.
As for why I play female characters at all, I'm not sure. Perhaps it's just something different. Or maybe deep down I'm a transexual. Who knows?

As for the original question asked by Sorcia, I don't make my guys 'attractive'... rather I make my guys look 'badass' (See my quote's picture)... I know whether a guy looks 'badass' or not...
Essentially, the general proclimations of 'females' in computer games are 110 pound ladies who look good, but weaklings... like those with incredibly small arms, unlike what you would really see... take a look at a female swimmer's arms... 'those' are the arms befit of a female warrior.

When a guy says he can't tell if another guy is "hot or not", though that frequently is sexual insecurity, a lot of the time it isn't. Face it: women are attracted to weird things, and I often am surprised when a particular guy gets called 'hot'.
Good for-instances: my sister finds this David Boreanaz fellow hot. The guy just looks like a sexual predator to me. And then there's the well-known female predilection for Patrick Stewart... I mean, what the fuck? Patrick Stewart? Gray-haired bald guy?
Anyway, a lot of people who play females have sort of a common psychological root. It occurs to almost every guy at some point, while he's driving or something, that "Gee, it's a good thing I'm not female because I'd just stay home and play with the equipment all day". That thought has a brother - "hey, that really doesn't sound so bad".

I was speaking more from a guys perspective though. So rather than "I don't know because I'm a guy", you could say "I think he looks like a 90lb wuss". Hey, it's honest from where you stand!

But you are indeed correct - most fantasy women tend to be pleasant looking - not that it is not the case with female athletes. But a great fighter doesn't need to have an agile and lean body... being a big fat f*ck actually can do it for most... Women included!
However in fantasy they tend to look like they're on the verge of an eating disability! Rather scary - a female skeleton with str 18 and con 18... I just think I'll go hide away then!
