Why do I never make a hit in battle. - by Charmand G

I have just started playing Morrowind, and got myself a shield and a sword. But when I fight small worms and villains, I never make a hit. A guy can strike me down with his bare hands, and I wont make a scratch. I`m still level 1, crusader, but I should be able to do something?

Not really. Practise on lesser beasties first. What's your skill with the weapon you're using?

Make sure your Fatigue isn't drained - that dramatically reduces the chance of making a successful attack. That you also get knocked out frequently (only occurs when Fatigue = 0) suggests this is the cause of your problems.
Solution? Carry around lots of Restore Fatigue potions, or just take it easy - walk instead of running, and pause to "catch your breath" before entering dangerous areas (e.g. bandit caves).
That should see you good. :)

Yeah, when you've just started, you should probably stick to whatever weapon you have in your major skill section, or, failing that, your minor skill section. If it's in misc, fogettaboutit ^_^

My fatigue is fine, I use a weapon I master, but still I can`t hit a barn. Even small worms are hell.

They will be until your skill level improves. You can either fight small enemies until you get better (it will improve with use) or buy some training.
