I used to come here on a daily basis. I'd read about the latest Sypha "music" or "Help I'm sick" threads. I'd read about Noid's musical endeavors with his colorful rants. I'd laugh at GBM's latest cooking quests. I'd laugh at the left wingers always fighting with the right wingers. (Paz vs Aircraftkiller forever!) Mr Duck would charm us with his shagging and candid photos. There are the Chandalier Swingers ;), and the quiet people too. Every once in a while, I'd post something I felt near to my heart. Like, (

We never found out what happened to him. I checked our local shelter for weeks after he was gone. I canvassed the neighborhood with flyers w/pics.
Tonight, I think I saw Chester on the local Comcast On Demand Pet Adoption show. I must have watched the video about 50 times. It looks like him. How could he be so far away and been gone so long, but now I think I see him on tv? I wrote the shelter manager an e-mail, and asked her to hold the cat until tomorrow after work so I can take a look at him. Although it may be him, it may also not be. I wasn't 100% sure it was him. I guess tomorrow may be the happiest day for me in a long time, or it may be sad. It takes a man to admit he cried. I cried tonight thinking about my special little friend Chester. He shared so many evenings with me. We had an understanding. He wanted someone to love him and feed him, and I just wanted a little friend to curl up on my lap and keep me company.
So, why do I come here? I guess it's because you're all a little friend that curls up on my lap every now and then. I don't come very often anymore, but I still think about you. Thanks TTLG. That is a rather unique looking cat so I have confidence that the cat on TV is yours. I just got adopted by yet another stray youngster that someone no doubt dumped (I live in the country). He's kinda freaky...real quick and nervous and squirmy. I think he's a he. But the other 5 strays that live on my porch seem to like him so I guess he's here to stay. I will name him....Freaky Deaky.
