Just wondering? I noticed the annelid worms are said to be female so maybe they can only use male hosts

Funny, I was just randomly thinking that myself earlier today. I guess it was just easier to do one base mesh for the grunts. Combined with thier mangled bodies and the dark envirnment, and thier twisted voices, only the lack of chest is a true giveaway at gender, lol

I guess because all the females were chosen to become midwives?

Because women are the egg's nurses/babysitters.
Play the game, listen to the logs and get a clue.

Well, some logs, mainly the one I found today that got me thinking, was a female talking about her changing, just like the other crew members that became grunts. In fact, that log was on a grunt I had just killed

Story wise you could maybe make an argument for all the women becoming midwives, but really the Many affect everyone male and female and I do think the logs show that, ultimately it's just easier to have the one model. I mean you can apply this question to lots of things, like why are all the hybrids white? Why do they only carry pipes and not other melee?
All comes down to limitations and what they wanted to concentrate on.

One day, I'll figure out adding meshes to the game and probably end up adding variety, lol

"I think we should add more polygons to Stephany"

Hey, if the annelids can mutate the hybrids as much as they do, maybe they can have the females switch gender too?
Maybe they want just males because they're more aggressive?

Turnbull. That log is one of the best in the whole game.
