So I'm doing the cure vampirism quest (what's that in my ass you ask - oh - it's a HUGE FUCKING PAIN). I've taken the five grand soul gems to the witch and am about to embark on the next step of the quest. I've obviously been travelling at night and either sleeping or waiting during the day to go outside.
Now - the problem with taking her these gems during the day is that her cabin is out in the middle of Bum Fuck Egypt, so I have to go at night. Which means I have to trespass to get inside the cabin before my skin melts off with the rising sun. It's now around 7:30 am and guess what I can't do? Two things:
1) Fast travel while taking damage from the sun.
2) Sleep or wait while trespassing.
So I guess it was the designer's intention for me to spend 12 fucking hours (game time) standing in this woman's cabin waiting for the sun to go down.
I LOVE this game and am having a blast, but this elicits a huge WAHT THE HELL from me. Is there something obvious that I'm missing here - some way around it, a potion I can drink for day travel...anything?
Fucking vampires.

When you trespass, NPCs will ask you to leave and you have a time limit (30 seconds, I think) before you get a bounty on your head. Just enter her house, talk to her immediately (wake her up if you have to), and then leave immediately once your business is concluded. The time limit clock pauses while you're in the dialogue window, so it shouldn't be a problem.
BTW, you'll encounter a similar situation in one of the Fighter's Guild quests and the Malacath shrine quest. Just do the same thing: Enter, talk, leave.

Which fighter's guild quest?

You can always feed to remove the daylight damage for 24 hours, at the cost of losing the accumulated vampiric bonuses (i.e. you're kicked back down to the first tier).

The "Amelion's Debt" quest at Water's Edge.

All you have to do is sneak up on her while she's sleeping and feed on her. The sun damage will stop long enough for you to get through it.

Red & Matthew- that won't screw anything up with the quest? I don't want her to be pissed at me and not talk to me because I bit her neck! But thanks - I didn't know that would help. Kind of been avoiding it since drinking blood doesn't fit much with my character, but a Kajiht's gotta do what a Kajiht's gotta do...

Yeah fett, the target doesn't wake up when you feed, though they may still wake up to chide you for trespassing - but being a Khajit, I presume you're sneaky enough to avoid that!

Download the Official Plugin The Vile Lair. Once it's fully furnished, you can get an instant vampire cure from there.
