I think he is referring to the strong likeness of new Garrett's face to that of Desmond (somewhere there is a pic of the two side by side, and they are strikingly similar) and of the fact that the new voice actor is from AC. There could be others. For myself, I think its less of borrowing from AC, and more using as many Montreal assets as they can.
On that side note, Ive been thinking about the swearing we now know is there. I don't personally like it, and feel it doesn't fit. I realized that many people who learn a language are more free-wheeling with swear words because you don't know their true impact. Being from Ottawa, I know many people who speak French first, and Ive found that many swear more easily, and differently than I would (even if their English is fluent). I suspect that will have something to do with how the dialogue is written. I seem to recall in DXHR that there was swearing in places where it seemed needless,or unnatural. Mind you, I don't claim this to be something unique to French speakers, but to anyone who learns any other language.

first, couldn't see Russell's voice in
that face, wouldn't tweak the model's face, and lo and behold, Romano, former AC actor, *snap* "just fit." Amazing! But yeah, Montreal is getting first dibs on employment, nevermind they brought Russell in!
And with the swearing, it's worse than just the words, it's the writing all around. It's not funny crude, it's just gross. Before, it was enough to make you know a character was corrupt and did reprehensible things, and now, I just don't want to hear what they have to say, versus, combing over every line for gold. They musta got that from The Crow. I hated the top villains. The henchmen were fine, but the penthouse lords and ladies, I get enough of that filth in real life.

You know what I've gathered from this thread? If jtr were to create a documentary about the making of Thief 4, it'd end up looking something like Loose Change.

Since you're using this as basis in this argument, I think it'd be fair if you provided at least some examples... The old "Google is your friend" excuse isn't very convincing.

You are in the library. Grab the nearest Thief picture book! You aren't being asked to do any hard work--I think--and I'm not sure you are really punishing me for your own laziness, are you?

What you're doing right now is saying you have no explanation for why you believe the things you do. You think Thief 4 looks like Assassin's Creed because...
...well, you know. I've got the proof right here. It makes total sense to me. Why doesn't it make total sense to you? Do you need more explanation? It's out there waiting for you. Don't expect me to back up my statements. Do your homework.

The only person being absolutely unerringly and baselessly negative here is you, jtr. It's one thing to criticize and show doubt. What you're doing is just throwing things out to see what sticks in an attempt to stir up controversy on the boards. THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND US! THEY WANT TO THROW US UNDER THE BUS FOR THE MASSES!
If you could at least back up your statements, tell me why you believe what you believe, at least then we could carry on with a normal conversation. But...no. You still haven't answered any of my questions, and you continue to try worming out of doing so.

Fighting negativity only because you don't understand it, fear it, is so much worse for everyone. It's not half as bad as you think, and you're conflating my annoyance with you and others with annoyance with Thief 4's development and putting it all into one artificially inflated ball of yuck that I find quite offensive, too--you made it to be offensive and it works!--and you will. not. be. assured!
