Please. Real fans pretend it's Lord British.

Apologies for dragging this thread back to its topic but I thought that Keith Olbermann put it rather succinctly.
In light of the following, Vae, how can you possibly say that Trump won? Even if he'd managed to stay "presidential" for more than 30 minutes, the moment he refused to recognize the election results, he lost the right to run.

Just out of curiosity, do candidates have to make any sort of pledge or oath in order to run?

Nicker, as far as I'm aware, no. There's nothing more than base standards and expectations that are assumed everyone will abide by.
Just watched that video. He makes a couple of good points, but he loses me in the hyperbole. While it's not good, I won't say it's the worst existential crisis the government has faced since the Cuban Missile Crisis, or 9/11.

Every time I read a GMD post, I feel a wave of sadness as I realise it's caused yet more death to someone's brain cells.

Yeah I suppose... until the peasants storm the White House with their pitchforks and hunting rifles...
But Trump denying the legitimacy of the election process it a pretty dangerous precedent, given the size and volatility of his following.

He's not the first who's rabbleroused a bunch of people from a populist position. In the end, it all depends on how seriously people take him, and how popular and/or ridiculous any fallout from it may be.

It boggles the mind - what does that even mean, not recognizing the results of the election? Just stating it is stupidity on a whole other level. So, what, any new legislation or policy that Hillary passes, he's just going to pretend like it doesn't exist and ignore it? The whole discussion is just ridiculous, I don't get why it's getting so much attention.
