Why?
because then we could have color-coded states on the map, and instead of wars, we'd have international fashion shows, and instead of an army, we'de have a second france

There's no way Clinton and Condi would start to dismantle the military. No way.

Yeah... for one thing, they both like a man in uniform.

- I will not vote for Mike Tyson because I don't like squeeky voices.
Or people who eat their opponents.
- No one's mentioned Mit Romney.
- I won't vote for a Democrat or Republican. I'll vote for the person. I no longer have much respect for anyone who votes the "party line".
(Starting with anyone who votes for the senior senator from my own state, Massachusetts)
- I won't vote for someone because they aren't a particular party.
(Massachusetts now has a, seemingly, inept and clueless governor because he is not Republican. In the states, it's acceptable to vote for someone who's clueless and who has nothing substantial to say simply because you're pissed at the opposite party.)
- Clinton's gender, as questionable as it sometimes seems, will, in no way, influence my vote one way or the other.
(Anyone who votes for her because of her gender with no other thought behind it is just as sexist as one who votes against her because of it.)
- Obama's race will, in no way, influence my vote one way or the other.
(Anyone who votes for him because his is black with no other thought behind it is just as racist as one who votes against him because of it.)
- This is going to be the toughest vote to decide on in my 32 years of voting.
I'm afraid it might come down to another "lesser of many evils" decision.
And I hate that that's the state of American politics for thinking people.
And I seriously resent being forced to make that kind of choice.

My wife actually met him momentarily while working at the PBS station in Springfield (MA) a couple of years ago. Came across as incredibly vain, generally worrying about how he'd look on camera. Bloody politicians...
