Well, it looks as though the 2008 US Presidential Campaign is about to begin in earnest and, yes, true enough, there's another one of those jolly little political compass-style quizzes!

From the likely contenders, this is my top 5:
(100%) 1: Sen. Russ Feingold (D)
(99%) 2: Ex-VP Al Gore (D)
(99%) 3: Sen. John Kerry (D)
(98%) 4: Ex-Gen. Wesley Clark (D)
(93%) 5: Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D)
And my bottom 5 (boo, hiss):
(33%) 21: Ex-Rep. Newt Gingrich (R)
(31%) 22: Sen. George Allen (R)
(26%) 23: Sen. Chuck Hagel (R)
(20%) 24: Sen. Sam Brownback (R)
(15%) 25: Rep. Tom Tancredo (R)
Well I don't know much about Feingold, but I like what I've heard: supports a national health service, cuts in the defense budget and consistently voted against the Patriot Act. Is America ready for a genuine liberal president?

I do sense that is a rhetorical question, but I seriously doubt that anyone here can answer it and expect his opinion to be representative of anything but his own. Most people I know on personal levels, including some Republicans, are sick and tired of Bush. They may not necessarily lean left, but they are certainly considering Moderate positions on some of the current issues. As for me, I don't care much for any other issues, so long as the next administration isn't a) obsessed with Middle East oil and b) trying to mix religion and state.

Some of the available answers are horribly black and white, but I guess that's just the nature of these things. I have some doubts about its degree of accuracy though, since Feingold is the top guy by a wide margin.

(57%) 21: Sec. Condoleezza Rice
(47%) 22: Rep. Tom Tancredo

Charles Barkley.

Total bogosity in instrumentation. Cursory examination of reported results shows an utterly unjustified skew for Russ Feingold.
Insert cynical comment about agendas.

I'd like someone who doesn't pitch up for political rallies in flag-drowned halls, someone who can recognise a political spectrum and utterly rejects the polarisation of basic issues, someone who will treat the audience as intelligent and not be afraid to SOUND LIKE HE'S ACTUALLY A BIT OF A SMARTY-PANTS, someone who, if they feel the need to push the soft-and-squishy buttons of "freedom", "liberty" and so on, do so with the knowledge and understanding to back that up, someone who will not be afraid to point to their vast library of recognised philosophical texts as a main source of guidance and and AND ...
Fuck it, I want an agnostic lesbian of exotic cultural background for the sake of absolute hilarity and I know it.

Actually that first paragraph of yours does sound like Feingold, Paz ;)
Anyway, it does seem as if there is a slight bias towards the Yiddisher boy, but not everyone I know is getting Feingold; some have got Gore, Kerry or Clark. So it is possible to get others if you are vaguely left-leaning :p
