God; I LOVE it!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
This would be perfect for some of those sleepless nights, only my pc's too far away from my bedroom and I'd have to turn up the volume which would either defeat the purpose or piss my new neighbors off. :(
Thanks for sharing Kolya.

this would be brilliant for getting young kids to go to sleep
Exactly my plan.

I bought my girlfriend an alarm clock for her birthday last year that has a white noise machine in it. Also things like waterfall, rain, thundrstorm, rainforest, etc... You can run it for a certain amount of time, or even wake to it. She is a very light sleeper, and she has been actually sleeping uninterrupted ever since.

Nice. Now I don't have to leave the Star Trek dvd on the menu screen to feel like I'm on the Enterprise.

Be carefull.
I've been using a white-noise maker for years since I have to work nights from time to time. Now I get sleepy anytime I hear a fan or some such.
Pavlov would be proud.

This is awesome, and also mildly terror-inducing. I keep expecting the distant whine of two mechanical legs and the friendly, confused voice of a protocol droid. Or maybe this is the sound of a dead crewman's voice recorder left on, as his crooked, slack-jawed corpse gazes emptily through the unbreakable glass into unfamiliar stars.
For extra fun, I'm running this through my sound card's silly little Karaoke key shifter and Fake-EAX environment shifter.

the best white noise is a vacuum cleaner, one room away

I once put Electric Wizard's Dopethrone on and laid down. When the album was over I got up and opened my bedroom door. Turns out the entire house had been vacuumed while I was resting and I didn't hear a thing.

I have been meaning to tell you thanks for wising me to them, dethtoll. Being the slobbering Black Sabbath fan that I am, these guys are totally up my alley. Shame it took me so long to find them.

Wow - that brown/red noise thing with oscillating volume is *really* soothing. Will try it at work, although I'll probably have to switch it off because it pisses off my co-workers.
