POLITICAL THREAD! YAY!!
So Daschle has pulled out, along with Killefer's (reportedly over $298 in delinquent taxes :confused:). I'm overjoyed that Daschle will not be able to get his hands on health care reform because he's been having butsecks with the insurance industry since forever.
I'm simultaneously bothered that Obama nominated him to begin with, and suspicious that he's behind the withdrawl (or at least behind hers, which of course would have forced Daschle to pull out on his own). Not sure what to think here.

I was surprised that he nominated Daschle is the first place. The cynical side of me wonders if it was a simple lack of judgment, or some favor being repaid.
Either way, I do hope this doesn't become a trend....

Obama, Biden, Clinton, Daschle ... it's like a ramped-up Democratic Senators' night on the town. They probably all planned it out years ago over cocktails in some dodgy Senators-only DC dive.

OK, I am going to say this, shoot me down, I don't give a flying fuck.
Obama is a pawn, he's a puppet, the government pulls the strings. He has some say, unfortunitely its still status quo. There has been so much bullshit within the government, its still going as planned.
If Obama had ABSOLUTE power, there would be change, I guarantee it. It will be years to undue the damage that has been done. I hope he can get in there and do some house cleaning. Only time will tell......
