What the hell, since this has already been posted on every other board I read, time to share the redundancy--
Weird Al Yankovic's (

Anybody see Weird Al live? What a blast!

Years ago I saw him when he came to Edmonton; he put on one of the best shows I've seen.

This song had very nearly zero impact on me at first because I didn't recognise the original - I'd never heard of "ridin' (dirty)". I don't know if the song was huge in America, but if it wasn't then perhaps it was the only rap/r'n'b number that he could effectively pisstake... I would hope that he'd find some way to parody songs like "Yeah" by Usher and "Sexyback" by Timberlake. The songs that get played more than they should.
Still, in this ill track some of his rhymes be whack yo.

Riding dirty gets played more than those other two songs you mentioned down here. :erm:

Where's down here? I've also never heard this one. And I haven't heard "yeah" in ages (touch wood)

Ummm... so what? I'd never heard the song this was based on before either, and it was still hilarious.
In fact, that describes pretty much all his "parody" work-- he just borrows the music from popular songs then attaches completely unrelated lyrics.

Yeah, especially like that one he did called "Smells like Nirvana"
Surely a man with your grasp on humour can see why knowing the original song would make this kind of thing more amusing
Scots Taffer on 27/9/2006 at 00:22
It's amusing on its own merits, but most of his other songs have been far funnier and stuck with me for longer due to them ripping something overly familiar and usually overplayed.
I've edited my original post to better reflect what I meant anyway.
