While waiting for patch #3.... - by Clock

I got puzzled over that stash too.
As for downgrading the game; copy the savegames to another folder, unInstall the game, reInstall it, put the saves back into their correct folder, keep on playing.

Yeah, that's probably what I should do. Who knows how long the wait will be for the next patch. The only time lost is the time it takes to re-install.
Thanks for the quick help.

I don't think the next patch would fix the saves anyways. When you updated the game to 1.0001 the saves were no longer compatible. And I doubt it magically returns in a later patch. :erm:

Got my save games back, but only through uninstalling / reinstalling as you suggested.
I'm really perplexed over this hidden stash. It looks like it's right at one of the radiation points (there's an artifact here as well). But I think it's above, on the roof. I can get on the roof but not to where the map tells me the stash is.

Some stashes don't work properly even after you get a mark on the map. Don't mind, there are literally hundreds of stashes in the game, you will see them appearing on the map many times. And in 95% of cases they aren't important and don't contain things that would be valuable enough.
As for that roof, IIRC I got on the roof through some opening in the attic then jumped to upper part of the roof (difficult jump) and the stash was in some kind of a small booth there.

I`ve yet to find a single stash point where I couldn`t find the stash. Some require alittle thinking outside the square to figure out (ie the last place you`d think to look, hence why its a secret stash).

I wouldn't call it a difficult jump, just jump formt he apex of the lower roof while aiming at the lowere slop of the higher roof - the distance is still small and the difference in height is negligible. Then just walk up and grab the stash.
Bam!

Thanks everyone. I'll just have to try harder to jump onto that slighter higher part of the roof.
I'm obsessive/compulsive when it comes to finding things in a game, regardless of importance. And I notced that one of the stash locations reappeared on the map AFTER I already picked it up. Now that to me is irritating.
Another thing while I'm here....
1. Is it my imagination or do the number of or attitude of or location of the various AI change everytime you reload a save game. I swear the number of mutant dogs or boars increase with time. Also, sometimes the military guys attack me on sight, sometimes they aren't even around.
2. This might be a real stupid question, but what does that number in the lower right hand corner of the minimap signify. The booklet does not say. It seems to range from 1-8

I finally made a successful jump and got the stash. Thanks to faetal for showing me the way.
I guess that could be described as a "tiny house" (description from the map), though I think it's misleading.

That number on the minimap shows the number of other humans that are in your vicinity.
