First person games, I'm used to playing with 1024x768, but at some parts I feel as though the frame rate drops a little, sort of like a motion blur. But in 800X600 it seems sharp and clear no little motion blurs.
I know it's a bit silly question, but I just wanted to know what resolution you guys prefer. I might play with the 800X600 this time, although I prefer the former.

first time through, 800x600.
second time 1024.
i just can't go any lower anymore.

I always go with the highest resolution available to me. Currently that's 1600 by 1200. Luckily I can read it when it's that tiny and the interfaces don't get in the way as much.

1600x1200... And the gfx card is still running almost idle.:p

I prefer high resoulutions, although I know some people prefer lower. I usually run at 1280 x 1024, and get good framerates on my GeForce 256.

Ok, I decided to change it back to 1024X768, because I don't know, I can't get used to lower resolution than that. Now the other challenge is getting used to the game :tsktsk:

...anything lower then 800-600 looks unaceptably awful.
Deus Ex is a weird game as proformace goes though...on my old rig (800mhz Duron, 128megs, GeForce2 GTS 32 meg) the differance between proformace at different detail settings was strangely small. Minimum resulution and detail would net maybe 5 more fps average then max detail and 800-600 :weird: higher res though was more noticable...the differance between 25 and 30 fps is more noticable then the differance between 30 and 30 it seems.
When i first played Deus Ex i did it at 800-600, i shoul probably do 1024 now though since i upgraded and it average about 70 FPS in the same settings.

I run on 1024X768 just because it is the optimum resolution for my monitor, otherwise I'd have it on 1600X1200.

1600x1200 @32bit, except I have to underclock my gfx card when running DX because otherwise the conversations cutoff the end of sentances ....
any one else had this bug *running a P4 2.2Ghz *
