Very interesting. I have to meditate about this more.

I've done this test before, but since then I have slightly changed my views. No Taoism in the results, though. But then, I guess it's more like a philosophy than a(n active) religion.
You scored as Paganism.
Your beliefs are most closely aligned with those of paganism, Wicca, or a similar earth-based religion. You may also follow a Native American religion.
Paganism 79%
agnosticism 75%
Buddhism 71%
atheism 67%
Satanism 58%
Islam 46%
Judaism 46%
Hinduism 33%
Christianity 29%

Well it wasn't a surprise that I scored as agnosticism, although several questions were subject to interpretation along the lines GBM pointed out.
Agnosticism - 83%
Atheism - 75%
Paganism - 67%
Buddhism - 46%
Satanism - 42%
Islam - 33%
Judaism - 21%
Christianity - 21%
Hinduism - 0%

Choosing what religion seems right to you on the basis of your existing beliefs seems a weird way of doing it.
Surely a religion should influence your life, not you searching to find a religion that justifies and dogmatises your existing prejudices? Something compels you towards a certain religious belief, and you endorse their ruleset as a result of that.
Presumably religions have rules because they believe that's the best way to live your life. Saying 'I'm going to find the one that most closely matches how I already live' is an exercise in redundancy?
Vasquez on 4/4/2006 at 09:56
But that's how it works, monb. Unless you're a recovering alcoholic/ drug addict / whatever, and happen to choose a religion to satisfy your need of addiction.
