contica, unfortunately this game is too easy to exploit =\
Within 30 minutes of playing I could have a guy with full daedric armor and a long sword, 100 armorskills/longblade skills etc...
without using console(of course)
besides, there's no reason to get more powerful, the toughest mobs you 'need' to kill are mebbe the golden saints =)

Well put Tuco. The first Mod that really need to be done, upon which more ambitious things may be implemented, is a Balance Mod in the true sense of the word. I mean a Mod that fixes spell costs, enchantment, race bonus, NPC's levels, Monsters Levels, leveled monsters, leveled items, potion prices, Alchemy chance of success, curb thievery, etc...
After that we can have some very complex random missions, dynamic faction changes, map generators, dungeon generators... things that really add something to the game, not just eye candy.
I must say here I am not at all interested in the main story of the game. Hey! 15 years ago I had stories as complex as this one in the ZX Spectrum!
Just my opinion...

Well, the whole thing could be circumvented if the game was linear... or was made so difficult it WAS linear. I know some games you NEED to explore all the content to beat it, but for Morrowind, you need only explore a bit of it to really finish the story. Quite simply, I found myself in the endgame dungeon in my teens, whereas I finished the game in my fifeties... :Shrug.

But the really breakthrough would be if you just could not finish the game at all... if the game engine ever generates more missions, more political strife, more dungeons for you to explore... what you propose is something made countless times before: a story with beginning, middle and end.

Daggerfall tried to do that, the trouble is to create genrator that does new events that makes sense, but every thing would have to be detailed, it would be very cool thoguh if every n[c had the AI to be effected by you decisions int he long run.

Look, it´s not dificult to do... From time to time you need to check some variables, assigning a certain probability for them to change. Then the world around you would change in a perceptible way...
We can do quite a lot of this stuff with the editor, not all, but most of it (and not all, because the editor, if a nice tool, is not that ambitious in scope).
One thing, I will do sooner or later because I now know it's possible: I will have random missions for me to play. I abhorr playing a set story... if I want that, I prefer reading a book as it is clearly more detailed.
