I use the 'A good place to stay' mod as my house. It's great. Lots of storage (I mean LOTS, though, unfortunately, I've almost filled up a good deal of it and might have to start putting stuff in what's actually called the 'storage room.) It also has a lot of armor stands, a training dummy, Armory, Alchemy Room and Bed Room. I made a Library add-on because I'm collecting every book I find (And it really is some collection. I should probably count all my books sometime. I have them ordered by type (Story, Biography, History, Geography, etc.)
I'm thinking of making a HUGE tower just south of Balmora. I'd combine different architecture, it's base being imperial... and just build up. And whenever I feel bored (Which I will, with summer coming up) I'll just say, why not add on to it? And I'll add more rooms...
It will be magical too, heh. Bigger on the inside than outside. How about that then, eh? It will look like a small, if incredibly tall tower, but inside it'll be a mansion. And what's even better, it will be taller outside than inside. (Don't ask me what will happen if you knock a hole in the wall, but if you're 3 stories up inside and take a door outside, it might turn out to be several hundred feet up and a long long way down.)
... That's a cool idea... off to the editor! I'm not actually good at it, but all it is is placing objects, so it shouldn't be any trouble at all. I'm thinking of placing it on the mountain right above Balmora (above the alchemy shop) or on the mountain on the opposite side of town.

I think only one name is possible for your tower, Ryushi: Tardis!
I used to live in Caius's house, and then moved to my Hlaalu stronghold. Nothing exciting, really.

Tardis? :(
It's cool... it starts as Imperial, then goes to 'Metropolitan' (vivec), then Telvanni... I just want a really high tower so I can jump off of it, lol. But it probably won't have an interior anymore, because quite frankly I don't feel like doing it. I think I just have an obsession with building extremely high places... I like the foggy white views :cheeky:

Personally, I don't like the really big houses. I don't want to have to walk for miles to get to my stuff. Plus, because of Morrowind's modular internal architecture, everything bar Telvanni feels a little samey if you make it too big.
I live in my Telvanni stronghold, but only after having modded it. Well, my loot lives in it. Given the vast amounts of money available in Morrowind, I don't like I've sold any weapons or cool stuff for ages. I've got a floor full of weapons. Everything in any way valuable in stored downstairs in the dungeon, along with anything with a cool story (ie one I've attached to it through my actions, or stuff like the Indoril helmet on the Grand Inquistor's desk), or anything rare. I've got a massive library as well (with pretty much every book in the game), and rooms full of armour and clothes sets. And (since I was an alchemy style chappy) loads and loads of ingredients.
Yes, I'm a hoarder. :D
I also horde people ;) Anyone I thought was cool but expendable (ie not main characters like Aryon and Divath Fyr) as been lead back to my stronghold, where they live amongst the Dwemner machines :D

The only person I have living in my house is a Khajit I found in Fort Firemoth. He never left with the other three guys when I returned the artifact (which I was going to try and keep anyway, gr..)
I only like big houses on the outside. Inside I like it to be big and roomy while at the same time very convenient.

My Argonian, Slann the Old Blood, is a firm believer that anyone who has anything to do with slavery should be fed to the slaughterfish. So when some guy under that tradehouse in Hla Oad told me to ferry some Khajiit to Balmora, I accepted just to get her to the Argonian Mission.
So when the poor Khajiit told me of the moon sugar she would be butchered for, I took her to the mission before going back to Hla Oad. I told the guy about what I did, and he attacked me. I had fun bashing him up, watch him lie on the ground, and then repeating.
Then I made my way to Balmora and hunted down the house of the guy that was supposed to recieve the sugar, and slaughtered him. I then realized that it was a nice house, despite the lack of chests, and I was too into character to kill someone for their house. It was right next door to "old sugar nose" Caius and was in my favourite city, Balmora.
So now I store every weapon the failed Nerevarines gave me, as well as Fury and am constructing a set of Daedric Armour on my bed - I once did it with the Dwemer armour and it looks like some evil guy's sleeping on your bed. Nice.

at the beginning of the game, i started living in the bedroomish corner of the balmora mages guild...because i only felt comfortable there as i was only known and loved by Ajiira:(
then i started to travel to aldrhun too much and there was nothing left to do in balmora...so i moved to the bigger one of the two bedrooms upstairs of mages guild there.... after a while it became too small for me as i had too many things to keep and display (for who?!?!?:erm: ) and i realised thet the enchanter downstairs (as i mistakenly (?) left her door open when i first visited her) started moving outside the room one step a day... after a while she was midway to the entrance... then i just moved to her room, and of course kept the door closed since then(to prevent unwanted guests)...there are plenty of urns, baskets, shelves, a closet and small and large chests... but now, i have thousands of items in there too, and when i try to enter the guild, the "loading interior" period takes even more than it loads Vivec!!!! and even after i enter it, it takes minutes to just to turn the cormer to the room:(
anyway now i have a telvanni tower. i m going to edit it first but i wonder how am i going to carry all of those stuff into the tower.... it will take centuries to move them and settle down...so i think i wont have the courage to start that business for a while:erg:

You could temporarily cheat and set your strength up
player->setstrength 999999
so you could carry everything at once...
Ania on 3/6/2003 at 12:37
I set mark in my new stronghold, went to Caius's house where I'd been keeping all my stuff, picked it all up (could be done without having to move around much) and teleported to my stronghold, where I first had to dump everything on the floor and then had hours of amusement arranging the loot in my new home.
Same result, no cheating.
