Where have you chosen to live on the island? And what made you choose your location? Myself, having roamed as a homeless adventurer for the past two days, I decided to settle down a bit and create some roots for myself. Question was, where a weary soul to recoup and gather his strength?
After wandering a bit of the map, I decided to "terminate" Nilera and take over her farmhouse just northeast of Vivec's Foreign Quarter. Directly west is Gro's Bograt Plantation, and tons of Netches and Betty Netches. A silt strider nearby can take me to Balmora as well as Seyda Neen, Molag Mar, or Suran. My bed is a hamock, and her closet is a non respawner - which means I can store all I want in it. So tonight, after having killed I don't know how many critters and outlaws, I went home and took off my armour and stored it in the closet. Sigh...I always did like country living.
Damn....fun game...:D

Like so many other people I suspect, the Club in Balmorra with the now decesed bad people. Has a bench for my old quest items and keep sakes, a stool for wierd stuff I've come across, a table for weapons and magic scrolls, and a chair full of magic potions (restore stats mostly).
Now I just need a bar wench, a personall armourer and a tame mage to send me places. Mod anyone?

I have a nice Telvanni tower over the site of Uvirith's Grave, where I am free to study my magic in peace... Except for the howl of the duststorms...

A small villa atop the Odai plateau, just south of Balmora. I even have my own mine, and personal trainers. :D

Since my character isn't a murdering psychopath, I just got Ahnassi to let me use her house in Pelagiad

Gotta love the great house strongholds. My Telvanni tower even has my own personal spellmaker and enchanter NPCs, I love it :D

Hi Elenkis! Thanks for answering so many questions for me on that other board. :) Yes, I really love my Stronghold. Sometimes I call it my Villa, or my Estate. It really looks nice.

Elenkis and I got our Stronghold by questing for the Great Houses. We purchased land deeds and construction contracts and built our very own estates. Of course, he is Telvanni scum! *spit* I am House Hlaalu. It really isn't all that difficult to get your own estate. It is just a bunch of Fedex quests.

Heheh, my pleasure ;)
I actually found getting the Telvanni stronghold to be considerably harder than the Hlaalu one (I have one character in Telvanni and another in Hlaalu). For example, not only does it cost you 5,000 for the Telvanni one, but you also need to capture the souls of two Winged Twilights or Golden Savants in a couple of grand soulgems. I was about level 4 when asked to do this (guess I raced up the ranks way too fast) :-p And that's just for starters... My Telvanni tower does appeal to me much more though, I feel like Saruman, practicing my arcane arts at the top of my tower far away from prying eyes (great view from up there to) :)
I've also decided to start a library in one of my rooms. I take every book I can find and keep them there to read, one day it will rival the Great Library of Vivec itself!
