I'm playing through the second time. The first time through I [SPOILER]didn't save Paul, and told Jaime to stay in UNATCO.[/SPOILER] This time, I did the opposite. I just completed the Versalife mission in Hong Kong, and when I [SPOILER]go back to the Luminous Path compound after seeing the triad leaders in the temple,[/SPOILER] people in the compound tell me that[SPOILER]Jaime is there, [/SPOILER] and ask, [SPOILER]"Did you see Paul? We're so glad he made it."[/SPOILER] Thing is, I can't find them anywhere in the place! :weird: What's going on here? Am I going to have to revert to an earlier save to see them? When do these guys show up anyway?
BTW, am I going overboard on the spoiler text?

Maybe a tad overboard--though people seem to like secrecy here so it's okay.
I don't actually know though about your problem--saving Paul is only triggered by which exit you leave from--if you went out the back, he should be dead. Jaime--if you actually told him to stay, then he'll stay, no real way to mess that one up. Perhaps there's a bug I'm unaware of...

Well... [SPOILER]If you went out the front of the 'Ton Hotel, Paul will stay alive. You see him in the MJ12 facility, and you also see him in the Luminous Path compound.[/SPOILER] I'm not sure about Jaime though. Apparently, if you tell Jaime to come with you, [SPOILER]you get an aug upgrade instead of Gunther's killphrase.[/SPOILER] However, I've always told Jaime to stay at UNATCO, so I'm not sure where he turns up with the alternative.

Well, I've just discovered I've forgotten WHEN they appear, but I might be able to save you some searching as to WHERE:
[SPOILER]Jaime will appear in the medical room at Tong's, which I believe is off to the left en route to the room where you had your killswitch deactivated-the medbot is in there. If the killswitch hasn't been deactivated yet, Jaime probably won't show up for a while. Assuming you left the 'Ton by the front doors and saw Paul alive at the secret facility, Paul will turn up eventually in the room with Tong's computer (the brown-paneled room with the door that leads into the Room O' Screens where you can usually find Tong himself.) At least this is where I found them; others may have had different results.[/SPOILER]
I seem to remember that last time I played it wasn't until I was almost ready to LEAVE the HK area that they showed up, though.

saving paul doesn't change anything, anyway. i didn't even feel too bad about it (some pig i am). the only loss that really kinda shocked me was jock's.

This is a actually a well-known problem - the guards in the Luminous Path compound change their dialogue too quickly. You'll have to wait till you've done another mission (the second, deeper Versalife one, I believe) for Paul and Jaime to actually turn up.

Exactly what Ishy said. Many people were concerned about this. The guards actually announces their arrival prematurely.
