Where can I buy lockpicks from? I've joined the thieves guild, but apart from the guy in the pub in Bruma, I can't find a single fence who'll buy my goods and sell me lockpicks. I'm all out and can't go exploring til I get me some..
Help! Please!

well, just fast travel (click on Bruma on the worldmap)there. What's the big deal? And other than the 2nd fence you get in thieves' guild and apart from random crates...I haven't seen any more than 1 or 2 picks.

Second fence in the thieves guild? What thieves guild. All I've found is

Has armand given you a mission? Maybe one called Independent Thievery? Follow the little red arrow to your first fence in Bruma : Ongar the World Weary.

Yep - I've completed that and am on to his next mission very "taxing" it is too. Actually I'm not bothered about the thieves guild quests particularly - I just want to find the places to sell stolen gear and buy picks for tomb raiding and general thievery. I'm more of the brawling, straight forward beat-em-up type, with a little bit of lock picking and sneaking, and some alchemy thrown in. I'm more the fighters guild than thieves. But I need to offload my ill gotten booty, and be able to pick locks to get more of it.

In the Thieves Guild you "earn" the right to use additional fences by doing the jobs that are assigned to you.
Until you complete certain jobs you won't be able to use other fences. And as you complete the jobs the names and locations of additional fences will be revealed to you.
Until then you only have the fence in Bruma. Over time as you complete jobs you will have more and more fences to choose from.

Looks like I might be doing some jobs for the thieves guild after all then. On a funny note I watched as Ongar the world weary snuck up on another patron of the bar and tried to pickpocket her - he got caught, but the guards didn't get called... thanks for your help..

You all know about the guy outside Imperial City, right? Just north of the west gate? Sells up to 30 lockpicks at a time for about 5 gold each. Can't remember his name, but you'll see him. As i'm not in the Thieves' Guild, he's my main supplier of lockpicks.
