Where to DL for free?

I know Deus Ex was released for free on a magazine's DVD a couple of years back, but I have since lost that disk (DOH!) and was wondering if there was anywhere on the internets where I can get it. Thanks!

Just to keep this for posterity, Deus Ex is freely available to purchase and TTLG does not support illegal downloading of games.

Your information is incorrect

What was available for free was a limited version of the game that only gave you access to the first level of the game (Statue of Liberty).

However, the game is cheaply and widely available for purchased download. You can get it for 10 bucks off various digital download sites, as well as in a bundled download license with Deus Ex 2 on steam (for 20 dollars).

ten dollars is well worth what this game offers. Heck, I even paid for the download while I was at school and had forgotten to bring the disc with me.

Probably worth mentioning that Deus Ex has come to be very affordable nowadays. I haven't had any dealings with Direct2Drive, but I'm assuming it's not some sort of "fine print" scam (please correct me if I'm wrong), and they charge 10 bucks for the GOTY edition.

CGW had a demo disk with full versions of both Deus Ex and Thief 2 one month in their mag. As I recall, T2 was messed up and didn't install correctly, but DX ran fine.

It wasn't free, if you include the cost of the magazine.

If the game wasn't available to buy then I would understand a bit more, but this is just a pisstake, especially considering how cheap the thing is:

Also, I don't see those direct to drive things as a good alternative - I heard that thief gold is messed up in that you can't mod it at all or use any fms or anything. Personally, I would stay well clear of those type of pay to download things.
