108 degrees here today, I'm dying. San Joaquin Valley weather, I miss the Bay area winds. :(
I'm tempted to see if I can cook an egg outside, maybe some bacon too.
I envy people with a pool today.

Beautiful summer here. Quite a bit drier than most years (I'm tempted to use the word "drought," but that's a bit too biblical for my liking, especially in light of Stronts' hilarious link), but very warm, mid to high 20s occasionally reaching to low 30s, and sunny, sunny, sunny. My lawn is pretty much a sun-fucked onion, but on the upside I haven't had to cut it for about a month, either.

Where's here, Maly?
Malygris on 6/7/2007 at 05:08
Suppose I should've mentioned that I'm talking about southwestern Ontario, a flat, bland and entirely unremarkable patch of the planet that is nonetheless home.
Did get some half-decent rain yesterday actually, although today was sunny and dry, and at this very moment it feels like the temperatures are headed up again.

Ah, whereas our drought situation is starting to look nothing short of biblical. :(

Whereas, I, get mid 20's temperatures and sun in the day, followed by gentle rain in the night. This weather roxxorz (unless you're a farmer, obviously).

Typical midwest weather here: one day it's 75(f) and the next it's 98 (and so humid you need to haul around an oxygen tank). I live about 5 miles west of Lake Michigan, so we've been getting a nice cool breeze each a.m. & p.m.
Worst part: even on balmy days the mosquitoes (the ones in the midwest have landing gear) and ticks (I swear they're the size of vampire bats out here) are so bad you need to slather yourself with greasy, oily, smelly insect repellent if you're going to be outdoors for more than five minutes. And of course, the repellent runs down in your eyes when you sweat and stings like hell and then you start hallucinating.
Other than that this summer's been okay so far.

Believe it or not, it is now significantly hotter in Berkeley than in Los Angeles. Now I've seen everything... and don't you even try distracting us by blaming Dia, Starr! We all know it was you who upset the natural order by importing a large Canadian to California!

We're neighbors! :)
It has been an interesting year for bugs. You would have thought that April deep freeze the Midwest had to endure would have reduced the bug population. It is worse. Skeeters and ticks in the spring and those nasty biting black flies that normally stay where they belong (in Canada) found their way here. I have never seen them in Indiana before. Must be in retaliation of that Canadian-in-CA thing. And now my home is covered by migrating herds of the (
