Minor spoilers ahead, I guess.
I'm looking for a rifle that has sentimental value for some stalker. The PDA says that it's in the Wild Territory by the bar, but I've looked in the exact location and I can't find it. Is it hidden somewhere?
I really need to find it, so that I can get the hell out of here! I killed all the mercs during the day, but night has come, and I'm pretty sure that it's brought some...things...with it. I could have sworn to god that I saw some shapes walking behind a train. They didn't look very human, and I also I heard some growls here and there. I'm pretty sure they weren't ambient, and I'm starting to wish I hadn't killed all the mercenaries...
I really need to find that gun. :erm:

It's underground. Look for a tunnel nearby (it's not very far from where you are).

Yeah, hurry up. That place is treacherous. During the night of all the mutated worst s..t comes out. The last time I was sneaking there, in darkness, with just 5 shots left in my gun I saw a shape walking silently among the trains.
It turned invisible and attacked me, but with pure luck I hit him in the face (if you can call it a face...) with all 5 shots, forcing him to retreat for a moment. I ran away in the opposite direction, taking shelter in a deserted building... until a new day came.

Family rifle location:
Go into that tunnel next to the downed helicopter. It's in red container behind the dead regular Stalker who has Desert Eagle pistol. The rifle itself is nothing more than a sawed off shotgun though :erg:

Incidently, the dead stalker with the deagle happens to be Freeman, the one who gives you Gordons PDA. Note that there are two open big red crates, one with the opening facing the fire and freeman's corpse which contains the Big Ben, a deagle chambered for 9x39mm rifle rounds while the other contains the family rifle and faces the opposite direction. You'll have to jump over a few things to get to the side of the crate that you can enter.
Hope that makes sense.

Doh! Just realized that I forgot to say thanks after I found the shotgun a week ago.
So...thanks :P
Oh, and yeah, the "things" I was worried about were nothing more than your garden variety bloodsuckers, which I'd already fought. Kinda dissapointing to encounter head on after all the chills I had when I got mere glimpses of them. I was hoping they'd be something new and terrifying. Ah well, I guess bumps in the night are always scarier than monster jumping down your throat.

Yo, No problemo, bro....
Wait.
I didn't help.
*blinks and runs away*
p.s. Yeah, you've got the right concept of fear, right there. You're scared until you see what scared you. I'm more scared of bloodsuckers when they're moving far from me in the night, or when I'm just near to that infested village. I'm crapping in my pants when they storm me at high speed.
I'm not scared while I'm unloading the righteous punishement in their face, though.
