Hey everyone!
I tried installing SS2 yesturday with NO success. I tried everything and the game would simply not install (the drive would spin up but nothing would happen).
So I decided to be clever: My friend's laptop let me install the whole game on his, so I installed the full version, threw the files on USB drive, and put them on my computer. And what do you know, it worked!
But now whenever I try to install mods, they cannot recognize the path to the SS2 folder. I know the folder needs to be somewhere, but where?! Can anyone help?
Oh, my computer specs are P4 3.2 Ghz, ATI X800 XL, 1024 Ram.

I'm guessing the mod installers are looking for a registry entry that isn't there, seeing as you didn't install the game normally. Granted I've never used any SS2 addons, short of a small fan mission. Search in the registry of the laptop for the path SS2 was installed under (by default C:\program files\sshock2). Export the relevant keys (directories) containing the SS2 values and transfer them to your desktop machine, making sure that the keys are imported into the same location in the registry. I take no responsibility in the very unlikely event you screw something up.
