Where is the Best Armor?
driver on 30/12/2003 at 09:28
All over the place.
Next question.
Seriously, you need to be more specific. Do you want Light, Medium or Heavy? Enchanted or plain?

I think he means the armor with the highest armor rating number...
By the way: Whats the best type of light armor, and whats it's average armor rating? Is it glass?
Zaphod on 30/12/2003 at 16:33
Glass is the light armor with the highest armor rating and enchantment rating.
So, yeah, it's the "best" non-enchanted or non-unique light armor.
That is to say, unique items like the Curiass of the Saviour's Hide (266 armor rating, constant 60% resist magicka) are better, but for regular old light armor, glass is the best.

This would be a good place to ask, is Gold the best Medium armour? I haven't gotten round to noting all the figures, but the cross-dressing smith in Ebonheart won't take his set off even when I sell him Ebony...

Gold? You mean Templar? Anyway, check the other thread in the Spoilers section, since Invictus posted in both forums. I listed where you can find some of the cuirass artifacts. AR is 333 for 'em. Cuirass of the Savior's Hide is 333 too, isn't it?

What item has the highest enchantment rating? I got a 350 charge soul from someone (stole it) and I know of an enchanter, but all my items, including this nice $10000 Admantium armor (from a plugin) has only like 10 enchantment rating.

If I wanted to put together a suit of armor from "unique" pieces of light armor, what would be the best combination?
What I've got so far is:
- The Curiass of the Saviour's Hide
- The boots of apostle
- Everything else is glass armor
Is there any better armor part I could replace one of the glass parts with?

No, I mean Gold. As seen in that official 'Lefemm' mod.

Ah, that'd explain it. My char has a definite lack of boobs, so has no need for the LeFemm mod.
As for the highest enchant rating, that would be Daedric Armor. But really all you need is an exquisite amulet, two exquisite rings and a Daedric Tower Shield. That should give you all the enchantment points needed.
