The Ekash's Locksplitter scroll will start turning up in random loot in smugglers' caves after you reach a certain level. Or enchant an item with Open 100. Or if your security is high enough and you have a good lockpick, you can pick it.

To disarm the trap, you can use a probe, or use the Telekinesis spell to open the door from a safe distance.

Hello.

There's a fair number of locked doors and chests in MW. It's not worth the weight penalty to lug around "Locksplitter" scrolls, and it's not worth wasting your own magicka/mana when casting "Open Lock" spells.

Enchanting a light item (eg an extravagent ring) to "Open Lock 100" is chicken feed, especially when you include the gold from all the extra loot you'll collect in the cost/benefit analysis.

I recommend enchanting commonly-used "Cast When Used" items (like this one) with a Grand Soul Gem. It doesn't have to be a Golden Saint (save those for constant effect items), but choose something that gives enough charge so you never have to recharge it.

The first "magic key" I enchanted with a Fire Atronach soul, but it kept running out of charge. I really hated having to stop in the middle of a smash-n-grab to recharge the thing. The second (enchanted with a Winged Twilight soul I think) hasn't run out yet.

Buy any lock-opening spell you can find. Go to a spellmaker, and have them make you one that is open 100.
