I found the Farseer Trilogy to be a great set of books, I re-read them not so long ago and really got into it.

The Lord of the Rings is an excellent series of books. Doesn't mean Tolkien wasn't a shit writer.

Hah! Got a rise out of noid! Savour the taste of a bloody lip from the master. As a coming of age story it would work best on those coming of age. It has those elements of persecution, longing, and awkward acceptance of responsibility perfect for resonating with that audience. It would be a sentimental favorite. And even a jaded old man could stand to read them all so I'll take my crow with a little salt.
I like seeing people stick up for what they like.
You are wise beyond your years sir, and it is quite certainly true that I read those books in a time of personal torment (GETTING DISOWNED BY MOTHER) but they're still bloody good books and Hobb is a bloody good writer and now I'm drawing a sword and I plan to fight you and GBM on the battlements for no particular reason
I AM USING MY LEFT HAND TOO
oh god i have such a hangover

There's going to need to be more than two of you. >:D

Farseer started out promising and turned into crap right about the time when Robin Hobb lost the ability to write sentences with more than five words.
GOT TOCKY'S BACK UP IN HERE
But only cause Shug always hogs GBM's.

Of course, I should've just asked for a winning recipe for simple ginger cakes, to help me eat my year's-supply of whipped cream, and left it at that.;)
But, since the thread HAS derailed... I enjoy Hobb's Farseer Trilogy more than the other two trilogies. They resonate with me on many levels.
If I get bored enough maybe I'll compile a list of all of Fitz's injuries.
