I'm sorry if I mispelled the fellow's name. I am speaking about the old wizard who eventually cures you of Corprus. Now I'm around level 37 and have killed him twice (once, to see what he had. The other I will say right now).
Now I finally got through the main storyline part where you get corprus. I went to him, and he cured it for me. I then taunted him into attacking me, thinking that perhaps his part would already be over. Yet when I killed him, it said that I had broken the thread of fate.
My question is WHEN can I safely kill this guy and get his great armor? Is it safe to kill him after he cures Corprus, and that message is just a flag that remained?

as far as the main quest goes, you can kill him after you're cured of corpus... addons etc

But if you have ANY shred of morality in you, you really shouldn't. He's a very nice man.

anyone that weak shouldn't deserve to wear daedric armor heh

He's not nice enough to survive! ;p Besides, his potion was experimental. My character is angry because he was almost used like a guinea pig. The man and his daughters deserved much in the way of beatings.

When I gave up on trying to find legitimate daedric chest and pauldrons in the game (which I understand sren't in the game after all) I decided to find a way to get this guys armor without ruining my endgame.. I managed to pull it off, here's what I did (bout lvl 20 at the time).
First I trained my hand to hand from 6 to 67 at Vivec. I had never messed with hand to hand but was under the impression you could knock people out and take stuff without killing them.. You can but there's a catch I descovered later.
Then I made a few rings to help. I trouble shoot most the game buy doing this.. First I cast summon Golden saint (I made an amulet for this of course), Then soulbind it to Azura's Star.. Here's What I made and why:
Ring of Rage
+100 frenzy humanoid on touch for 6 seconds
This is so that you wont get a bounty after the fight. I actually made this item earlier in the game so I could kill NPCs in towns without punishment. I recommend everyone carry this at all time >=)
Ring of Sleep
Damage Fatigue 100
This was simply to make the fight shorter.. I chian cast this about 20 charges and then punched him once and he would fail out..
Ring of Disintigration
Disintigrate Armor 100 points
You ee why i needed this below if you don't already know.
Ok So the first try I didnt have the disintigrate ring .. i knock him out.. open the loot window.. hmm only a key.. So I think maybe you cant loot stuff he has equipped.. which is when I remebered that when I wore my armor til it ran out of health and broke it un-equipped itself.. hence the ring of disintigration. So second try everything went smooth as silk.. I drained his Fatigue, used about 200 charges from the disintegration ring to break the chest and both pauldrons and punched him a couple times I did this around 20th lvl no higher than 24th. yes there is better armor in the game but you can't beat how bad you look in a full suit of Daedric.
I had 100 enchant when I made that stuff. Also if you are having any trouble at all killing Daedra still you probably wont be able to pull this off. He's not exactly easy to stand there and take punches from, and make sure you have the corpus cure before you do it because he will stay perma pissed at you forever, though I think you can cast a 100 calm humanoid on him to talk with him if you need to.. haven't tried.
Also I haven't seen anyone else post about this invention so I guess Ill put it out there. I discovered that if you have 0 magic left if you drain your int to 0 then raise it back up youll be full.. So buy an item with:
Drain int 100
Restore int 100
(ironically I suppose you could make a spell for this but you would have to have exactly enough to cast it when you did cause if you arent exactly at 0 magic it doesnt work.)
they must be in that order.. bam you never run out of magic. Atronach is definantly the best sign I went through a lot of levels and never had a problem with magicka before I discovered that trick and now that I know it I'll never pick a different sign again.
