There's another option on the right-click menu in the inventory, looks like a pouch with an arrow or something, I think. It's almost never used, but allows you to use an inventory item with a world object. It's what you need to do to get the TNT on the pole.

Yeah, what steo said. It's the same thing you'd do to use a stimpack on another character. Or a bunch of super stimpacks. :ebil:
BTW speaking of 'tarded, did you ever play through the game with an Intelligence of 3 or lower? Almost all of the dialogs change and it's hilarious.

Nope, i haven't tried, i might try that in another 8 years if i decide to replay again.. Now that i've completed the story it's actually fun to go around after using the Fallout Hintbook, theres still quite a lot to explore in the game.
