Ebonheart and Balmora kill my framerate. I haven't done any tweaks to try to increase performance.

Morrowind is so easy, I don't even use a monitor sometimes.
I have a p3 1ghz and GeForce 2 Ultra 64 mb, 512mb pc 133mhz ram,
I have it set at like 640x480 or soemthing with everything off, heh. and I get okay FPS. 30-40

You know Tuco, sometimes I think your a dick, then other times like this, I think your funny as fuck.
I guess that's all part of the mystery of Tuco eh? ;)

I totally agree. Not... that... I'm making much of a contribution to this thread. I still need to check my FPS :cheeky:

It's weird but in a way it feels like enabling the FPS counter actually slows down performance.:p
I'll still try it later on & post the results.
Tuco on 13/8/2003 at 05:35
They do usually. I know a lot of games where the FPS would take a 5fps hit.
Marxist ßastard on 13/8/2003 at 19:36
Yeah, but that's a full-on netgraph you're talking about... In Morrowind, it's just two a couple of numbers updated once every second or so...

AMD 2000+
ATI Radeon 8500
USING Morrowind Optimizer
1024x768 FSAA 2x
All Features (Pixel Shader, Truform, Enhanced view)
I set my fps to 25-30 and morrowind optimizer is modyfiing distance to keep fps
(i really hope most people here use morrowind optimizer :) I started playing from begining after seeing difference (distance, truform, light effects))
DMouse on 14/8/2003 at 01:42
I don't know what's going wrong. My machine should be handling Morrowind okay but outdoors it's average 15 and indoors 40.
Radeon 9500 Pro
1ghz (the weakness)
384MB RAM
1024x768
No FSAA
PS Water
FPS Optimizer seemed good for a while, but... Truform really only serves to bulge objects up and drop the framerate to almost nothing (the lighting is nice but a really minor bonus), the distance enhancment only slows things down (my weak CPU?) and the distant object removal really glares (lanterns being removed but not the actual lights)
Any tips would be appreciated as I think I should be getting better performance with this system... I've done all the INI tricks :erm:
