WOWThis is a rather reductive response Scots, and it's unsettling to see it coming from you rather than Dia. Nobody is trying to be "pseudo-intellectual", nobody is saying it's alright to bum kids. Just that if someone is attracted to kids they shouldn't automatically be socially segregated as monsters or treated like their sexual orientation is a disease; something that has a history of

Yes, sexual contact with minors is illegal and wrong for a million reasons, but everybody has a right to not feel like a piece of shit about who they are, even if we can't (and would not for a moment want to) go as far as allowing "who they are" to be consummated in any kind of physical way. All people are looking for here is the easing of the kinds of pointless and hysterical kneejerk reaction to someone's sexual orientation that you'd normally see in the tabloids, regardless of what they may or may not have actually "done".

eg. Average 13 year old boy. Tell him it's not natural to want to have sex at that age and you risk getting a wad in the face.

In fig.1 ('Devilish Bosoms') she is 15, by the way. Some of those papers just couldn't wait!
fig.2 ('Most Evil Man In Britain') is, of course, outrage at a programme which SHOCKINGLY satirised media handling of paedophilia. And, confusingly, outrage that wrestling will no longer be shown on tv.
fig.1 and 2 are on the same page, creating the finest design union in the Western world. Hooray!
