Greetings- I'm kind of a Deus Ex newbie here, so hang with me...what is the deal with "friendly" Ling (Redhead at Lucky Money)...she's following me around, and it seems that "something" :sly: , some kind of interaction should be taking place, but isn't finding its way...conversation goes from a very flirtatious "hello!" to "time's up...no, I can't", etc. What am I missing here? :confused:

You've taken her somewhere she can't go, like a back-room or something. That's when she says "No, I am not allowed", and any time thereafter will tell you the time is up.

Okay...thanks guys. But what is the point? Why is she following...what does she want? What does she mean by "Time's up?" In other words, is there a purpose to this exchange, or is it just filler?

Okay, perhaps I misrepresented what I am asking. I'm not naive about what the situation suggests, but I don't see the point of the two different responses by Ling if nothing "happens" in between...get my point? So the question remains, does the game allow for something to happen (and i have not found it yet), or is it just "filler" or "distraction", i.e. an unresolvable or useless interaction written into the game to cause the player to waste time and/or resources trying to figure it out?

i think it's a bug. first time thru i 'hired' her to see what would happen. then reloaded and just talked to her once, hoping to get the character interaction bonus, and left. when i went back for the celebratory drink she met me at the front door, telling me my time is up. ended up having to run away from the brazen hussy :D

She also does this if you go back into the bar to loot the bodies after blowing away the last mj12 troops in the mall. I just take her somewhere out of the way and prod her.
