Okay, lemmie post a REAL list, taken from the stats from the Editor item list.
There's a few unique items with Rating 100 - 80, like DragonBone Cuirass, Lord's mail...
Daedric Equipment is Rating 80, as is Bound Armour (Heavy/Light)
Ebony is Rating 60 (Heavy)
Glass is Rating 50 (Light)
Indoril (Ordinator Armour) is Rating 45 (Medium)
Dreugh Armour is Rating 40 (Medium, Sometimes Heavy (Bug) )
Orcish is rating 30 (Medium)
Everything else is rating 20 and below.
As a result, Medium Armour kinda got shafted, unless you like pissing off the Ordinators :P
Obviously these base values are further modified by your skill, not sure the equation though

Ordinator armor is definately NOT medium armor. My orc wore it for god knows how many levels as his HEAVY armor. Orcish armor is the best medium armor available.

All the indoril pieces I have atm are medium class armor.
Exodus_dk on 26/5/2002 at 10:51
Yep - Indoril def. are medium armor...
My next char will go for Medium armor and axes... And when I get Indoril armor, if the ordinators choose to attack - they'll have a beating, I'll then try joining the sixth house AND become a vampire :) Sounds like fun eh?
However - should they choose to leave me alone - then I guess I'll join house redoran and just be a nice fella!

Or you can just totally flip out and kick their dog in the nuts until the dog dissapears and the cow horse blows up and the the moon explodes.

Bleda, those stats, as I said are FROM THE EDITOR. Those are the stats they applied on to the items when they made them, they do not lie. Although Indoril Might be on the border of heavy and medium, like Dreugh. My friend who uses Medium armour had weird problems where his Dreugh armour would sometimes be called Heavy, but normally be Medium. Maybe it's something similar?

Nope nope nope, Indoril is Heavy Armour. I read it in the Strategy guide and remember it from playing a moment ago. : )
I heard about a bug on the Official Forums that can change the armour type of armour. Some guy was switching around his armour and it dropped by half when it switched to a type he didnt use. : )

Yep - medium armor is a joke! It's ridiculous that a the best light armor should have a better protection value than medium. Furthermore I've been all over Vvardenfell and I've managed to collect a considerable amount of artifacts - and guess what! There's not one single piece of medium armor that I've come across! Lot's of heavy pieces and a few nice light pieces. Why Bethesda has made it this way is beyond my understanding! Makes no sense. If you want to be powerful there's only one sensible way:
Armor - heavy
Weapon - Long blades
The just go for acrobatics, athletics, security, sneak/block and speechcraft.
Take three spell schools - I'd recommend: Alteration/Restoration, Mysticsm and Enchant/Alchemy.
As for Indoril - in my game it say medium...
I'm more puzzled regarding the imperial chain pauldrons - they're supposed to be medium, but they rate as heavy. And why do Dreugh armor have to be so GD ugly?
Couldn't they just have made it a little more cool looking? Or have given it a much lower defense rating... Going to Vivec to solve that murderer quest and get myself some Indoril - yeah that's the cool stuff!(And it should be better than glass - otherwise we have to make some kind of ebony medium armor that rates at 55 or 60(and I don't care if it's real hard to get your hands on - it just has got to be there :) )

As far as I know, weight is derived, and the editor SAYS Indoril is medium. Screw the strategy guide
