Rather than throwing out recommendations, I'm seeking feedback for a change. I just finished Breaking Bad's third season run and while I've got some light viewing set aside for here and there, HBO's Hung and BBC's The Thick of It, I'm setting my sights on the next big show to sink my teeth into.
Mad Men seems an obvious choice but my wife doesn't really like the vibe of the show, so I'll more than likely make slow progress through that on my own intermittently.
What's everyone else watching these days?
Is Treme still cutting it - has it developed into something worthwhile, what defines it?
What about Justified - Elmore Leonard adapted/inspired cowboy-cop-show, does it do its own thing or only offer a slight variant on the regular procedural?
I'm not a fan of the Castle, Lost, NCIS/CSI, How I Met Your Mother super-serialised shit. Just your proper story-arc season-long proper shows, thank you.

Watched through season 1 and (most of) season 2 of Sons of Anarchy over the past 2-3 weeks. It's a show about a gang of bikers, and their scuffles with the law, rival gangs and all the internal rivalry going on. One of the main threads running through the show is a bit like the story of GTA4 DLC The Lost and the Damned; the rivalry between the gangleader and his VP. Young Jacks wants to lead the gang down a more straight and narrow path and do some honest work, where it presents itself, like getting into the porn-business. But Clay, played by Ron Perlman, wants the gang to keep doing what it's always done and "live up" to the Sons of Anarchy name. The show's not as dark as Breaking Bad but still very gripping and almost every episode's ending is a cliffhanger. I usually end up watching 2-3 episodes at once.

The only thing I watch is precisely the super-serialized shit, and that's because I don't really care enough about TV to go find new shows. If it's not on CBS it's too much of a hassle to watch. And besides, most of the big-name cable shows that everyone here likes to jerk off over are on channels we don't get.
So I can't really make recommendations, except to note that however many people like to complain that The Mentalist ripped off Psych, The Mentalist is a better show.

Fuck TV.
Is that a pay-per-view?
Does it maintain a consistent narrative?

I gotta start editing my posts faster.
(Though the sentiment still stands)

Doctor Who - the most recent Matt Smith season.
Seriously check it out; it has story arc and genuinely great acting/scripting.

Some dust, a handful of VHS tapes and DVD's.

A penguin, which is about to explode.
If it lays an egg, it will fall down the back of the television.
