I did mention at the beginning WPA/WPA2, along with the other items. But as the saying goes you learn something every day. But with as with anything, that article has a context and that context is a work based environment, so some of the complaints the guy has don't apply to the home user.
But one thing everyone can agree on is having WPA (with wpa-psk) or better encryption with a complex and random alpha numeric key.
