I loved the original Thief Forums at good old Eidos. As one by one the original hardcores left I stopped really going over there to read. I loved my time there, and have no problems whatsoever with EM or the forum. Unfortunately, I am too engrossed with the new Might and Magic development to risk life and limb in the resurrection of this ancient corpse...

I suppose for economic reasons, I can only reasonably narrow it down to four people that I would equally rate the opinion of, and for slightly different reasons. If I donated money to TTLG to send four people to EM it would be Vae, Brethren, Chade, and demagogue. To me, that would provide the most rounded intellectual and insightful view of the game play mechanics and general atmospheric vibe. Of course jtr7 and Dia would be first on my list as well, but...

That was what I had said in the now deleted thread. A handful of those on the list, including you Vae, would be fantastic. I would be happy to rest my final decision regarding NuThief on what you guys had to say.
I would be willing to donate to a fund to send people. Has anyone approached EM with this idea? I would be happy to if not.

You guys are crazy (delusional?) - they're never going to send anyone from TTLG. They don't really know any of us, and thus they can't predict what we'll say. Way too much risk for them.
