Hi
Ok, now some bragging :)
I'm at level 88, have done the Morrowinds main-objectives, Tribunal, and Bloodmoon. I'm the head of House Hlaalu, Imperial Legion, Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, and Morag Tong. As I understand, I can't make it any further in the Blades other than Operative chief in Wvardenfell (which I am now), and neither advance in the Ashlanders faction since Dagoth Ur is slained. But in The East Company I'm a factor...can I advance any further there? I've checked different locations where they use to hang out, like Fort Frostmoth, Ebonheart, and Caldera, though non of my superiors have requested any more assignements on these locations.
What to do now? I'm bored with helping farmers, arrogant merchants, and in general stupid people with small matters, of which they could deal with them selves. Surely, this couldn't be the end?

Mods. Tons of mods...

I've got some mods, named Siege at Firemoth, Master_Index, and Adamantiumarmor. All of which I downloaded from the elderscrolls.com. Cus of my paranoia, I never download anything that isn't from games official websites...but I will check out the new plugins elderscrolls got. Thanks!

Don't be so paranoid. I have yet to come across a malicious Morrowind mod. Just remember to save your character once you install the mods and never to overwrite your 'absolutely-perfectly-100%-clean save.'
Morrowind Summit (Google it) has all the mods you could ever want. As your level 88, you may want to search for mods that raise the difficulty of the game. There are also fun mods which introduce new concepts (hunting, creating physical items such as chairs and whatnot, puzzle-based quests, new creatures, etc.)
And if you don't already have it, I highly recommend you get Better Bodies and Better Heads from their site (again, Google 'Better Bodies Morrowind' for their site. I'm lazy.) If you don't download these two mods, you don't deserve to play Morrowind. They improve the gaming experience greatly.
If your computer can handle it, get mods which add more foliage, and also try some of the retexturing mods for a new taste. In time, Morrowind will be a completely different world for you.
Now I want to play again...

Barring mods, there's also two temple factions to become head of. Since you're head of the Fighters' guild you won't be able to join the Theives' guild.
But yes, mods mods mods...

Ok, thanks for the help. I have saved my un-modded games before, so yes, my back is free in case of real trouble.
So now I've tried added some dousins mods (from rpgplanet; Morrowind Summit), and it worked quite good, except for some normal lag issues, but my question is: isn't there a risk that you could actually "mod-destroy" the game? What I mean is, the more add-ons you applicate to some program, the more it will work unproperly in the long run. Kind a like overkill.
And oh, this is probably not the right place to post this, but what a heck; the Lich Father-mod has some real problems with the masterfiles, cus my game crashed when trying to load from the ending of the Lich Father-mod. In the Frankefell-mod the Woods Of Izhram (or whatever have to spell it) it's not there if you try to get there on foot; it's just barren wasteland in the middle of the island, nothing more. And I haven't found any patch to these mods...anyone with the same issue? Any suggestion?
Maybe it's just my old PC (1.7 Ghz, Geforce Ti 4200, RAM 512, SB Live! 5.1) making it hard for me, but still... defragmenting once a year should not be the problem.
Good gaming.
/Jakob

Not completely suire what the problem is, as I've never tried it. Just be sure to read the readme. Sometimes you need to do extra things instead of just unzipping a mod to the Data Files folder. Other times, things (more often than not the texture files) are put into the wrong folder and you need to manually move them. If you can't get help here, I recommend dropping the creator of the mod an email.
Oh, and those specs should be fine. Except I'd try and get another 512MB of Ram, just for good luck ;)

Yeah, I've runned into the situation where the esp-files or some ones like it from the mods gets automatically placed in wrong folder. And therefore being forced to do it right, manually. I'll make sure to email the maker of Lich Father-mod...I'm just too lazy doing it right away, these days :)

This one can get a little tedious, but it's great when bored. Go amok. Kill everyone and everything in the game that can be killed. Guards will eventually regenerate. Named characters are gone forever.
