I would have thought T2ON, but I guess then it looks like 20.

MA3A is actually pronounced "Ma-three-ah". There is no way in hell "2" has even been pronounced as "O". This sort of epic, out-of-touch marketing stupidity makes even "ID4" look sensible by comparison.
Yeah I know about the articulation issue. All I tried to say was, that this sort of letter replacement wasn't new to the Tron franchise. But in the end it doesn't matter what the name is or if it's pronounceable. It will just be "the new Tron movie" anyway. The same would have happened if it had been "Tron 3.0" or "Tron - Reloaded" or whatever the marketing geeks may have wanked up instead.

I agree about the name, TR2N is incredibly stupid.
Since Tron 2 was taken, just call it Tron 3!

2RON is the only one that even remotely works phonetically.

I think so. It's also probably one of the only GOOD games that ever came out of Disney, too.
Considering it was developed by the same team that made NOLF 1 & 2 and F.E.A.R., we shouldn't be too surprised. I imagine the only reason why Disney got to publish the game was their ownership of the franchise.
They really did an awesome job of recreating the Tron world. The story was a little weak though.
EDIT: Count me among the TR2N haters. I don't wanna feel like a script kiddie when I go to see this thing.

I really hate TR2N in text, but for some reason I think it's okay in the actual logo. Probably because it looks more like an O in their stylized font.

Bingo. Monolith did most, if not all, of the work. If Tron 2.0 had been an internal project at Disney, the result probably would have been catastrophic. (As they're proving now: having acquired several studios in the last couple of years, which are pumping out titles that are mediocre, at best.)

Yeah, I don't disagree there. The storyline was a bit juvenile.
