Yeah, to an extent I agree that there is nothing wrong with Ang Lee's version (actually going to watch it tonight); however the "new" one, when viewed as a very loose sequel works fine.
Plus the action set pieces are fucking harsh especially the fight with the Abonimation which was actually handed really well, if a bit loose at the end.
All in, i'd rate it 8/10.
Plus at the end for the geeks, with Tony Stark making an appearance together with a tease for "people who can help" made me wet myself.

I have no hope of having an objective opinion of the ang lees hulk because I had to sit through the fucking four hour workprint at my friends house, which was hopelessly incredibly boring (seriously, I started eating paper halfway though, see if i could eat an entire packet of rizla before it got in any way interesting or exciting). All I can say about the new one is that it looks worse. Woo hoo. More sucky man-child comic book crap when it looks like they can't even do one of the few decent comics ever made (watchmen) properly, what a reason to leave the house.

I found this cast to be significantly better than in HULK.
I believe that's a matter of individual perception, with which I don't have any issues.
I didn't think Hurt's character was believable at all, however. If he wasn't wearing a uniform, I wouldn't have been able to see him as a military guy at all. At least he wore it better than Roth did, I give him that, but the way he practically took orders from Banner towards the end of the movie made me think that a general would be less of a pussy than that.
As for Liv Tyler, I don't have a problem with the fact that she's always type-cast as the main character's love interest, but it's just that she simply can't act. Whatever she does, she does through her looks and not through versatility, emotional range, the ability to get in character, and so forth.
I think I can at least agree that the action scenes were done better this time, and seeing how this is an action movie after all, I suppose it is an improvement, in the end.

Well i dont know where you guys are coming from - exactly how believable do you want a giant green monster to look?
Not as if we have anything real to compare it with!

Saw it, though it was pretty average 5/10. Had some cool moments but alot of cringe worthy ones too. I thought action was good with some great moments (Hulk using the police car as boxing gloves to pound Abomination into the pavement was the kind of thing 'Hulk' was missing and Hulk vs Roth on the campus grounds was great too) but the drama and the acting was pretty weak and uninvolving overall. This, I am sure, can be blamed on the cuts made to the film eg what the fuck happened to Betty's boyfriend? When they introduced him as a psychiatrist I was awaiting some scene where he attempts to analyse and help Banner but he pretty much disappeared after he was introduced .
Norton, who is an actor I greatly admire, was very flat and lacking his usual charisma. That said I still think he is a great choice for the role, he just needs more to work with. Hurt, another actor I love, was laughable and he seemed to be channeling Elliots take on the character (which was my favourite part of 'Hulk') at times but didn't have the eyebrows to pull it off :laff: Connely > Tyler is all that needs to be said for the female lead and Roth was good if a little one-note. Oh yeah. I absolutely loved Ferrigno's cameo, man he is still one big dude!
A note about the last scene: I thought it started great but definitely dragged on too long for me but apparently it was originally 26 mins long!
Both Hulk movies are quite flawed, I still prefer the first myself, but I think if you mashed the two together (drama + tank scene from 'Hulk' and action + Norton from 'The Incredible Hulk') you could have a great Hulk Movie.

But nobody wants to see a movie about that.
And we're talking real, not microscopic...

Tiny penis joke lol...........There are, in fact, already several movies made about it.
