I go to the download page, and I see this for the public servers:
Location:Irvine, CA
Provided By:GameSpy's FilePlanet
Users:1/-1
Wait Time:None!
But when I clik the link, I get this:
Currently Downloading-1 /-1
Waiting to Download538
Estimated Wait-16169 minutes
This public server is full!
You can wait in line for an open slot.
What the hell? Just another reason to hate FilePlanet?

Yeah, its all part of internet companies starting to(gasp) charge money for the useful, and costly services they provide. The long wait is to make you want to join up for a pay account. While the extended line may be due to a very high demand, I have a sneaking suspicion that it is somewhat artificially inflated.

But didn't you notice the crazy discrepency there? It says there is 0 people out of -1 using the download, and that there's no waiting line. Then when you click on it, there is an estimated waiting time of a negative amount. How is that possible?

how many times have you tried to download it?
have you closed the site down and reopened it?
cleared out your cache and cookies?
sounds like a weird glitch to me.

I just checked the news section of Morrowind Summit. Here's what they said:
Quote:
Just so you all know, we ARE aware that none of the Fileplanet links work. They all list -1 out of 0 users, and then give negative wait times, causing the downloads to never start. I've sent a report to tech support, so now we wait. In better news, the database seems to be working marvelously, so for any mods under 300k, there should be no trouble at all (they are hosted directly by us). We hope to resolve this Fileplanet trouble as quickly as possible, so thanks for your patience and understanding.
