I hope "they" know I am terrified of marshmallows and ducks. And doubly so of feeding one to the other.

Swimming in the dark, something big moving below me is probably the most frightening thing I can imagine, too.

Open Water was pretty scary in that respect. Shudder...

I don't know if anyone heard about the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs, but that is pretty frightening. The complete randomness of being hunted and killed just for laughs by someone else. Oh yeah, and there is a video online of them killing one of their victims, which is considered to be the most gruesome video ever posted. Find and watch it if that's your thing, but that's some fu*ked-up shit right there. Watch if you want how they gouge the guys eyes out with a screwdiver, and pound his face in with a hammer.

They look like ordinary little punks don't they? If you saw them leaning against your car you would yell at them to ass shine thier own ride. Right now there are people out there just like them walking around looking for all the world like human beings but without the least compassion or empathy. You might sit next to them on a plane or in a club and never know. Yeah, THAT is scary. What's worse is knowing those you love may be sitting next to them. The implacable death that is a hungry grizzly or lion is at least discernable and understandable.
I don't need to see the video. That they wanted others to watch thier depravity is reason enough to deny them.

Worse still is the unsettling notion that someone you love is one of them, just extremely good at faking it.

You mean like When Harry met Sally? Yeah, that thought scares me too sometimes. But then I'm usually too busy to care.

I dunno, I don't think Dexter's that scary. ;)

Personally I believe that punks like those deserve a proper beating. If they would know the consequences of their actions and would care about them you wouldn't see cocky teens playing "let's torture crippled war veterans in the woods". I know the subject and it infuriates me. Bloody brats. They need the electric chair.

Speaking of jaws back at page 3, I sometimes fear my jaw might crack and I couldn't eat and do stuff anymore.
Speaking of bodily fears, I also fear my knee bones, just becasue I can move 'em when leg is straightened out and they're weird in general.
Most of all I fear my eyes and losing vision. That would be the end of all.
Psychological fears seem like a matter of getting over them. Alone in woods at night seems like a pretty scary feeling to me, but once I'd become familiar with the dangers and how to overcome them, I'm sure I'd feel much better.
Then there's the usual fear of the unknown in many, many forms (one of them in the above example). And fear of no hope/escape. For me fear of no escape from something that sucks a lot is the worst.
Random ramblings over.
