1. Could you add more variation to the color of the plant leaves, like in the originals? To my eyes they look a bit too perfect (artificial). If you wanted to appeal to nostalgia, you could also try to get the colors more similar (I'm probably retarded but I'll miss Mr. Yellow-Green Plant), but even if you not trying to duplicate the originals it might make them more realistic to add some shades of yellow or brown.
Any texturing changes would have to come from Blackboe (who's disappeared), or someone willing to adopt the plant remodeling sub-project. I agree that it would be better to match the original leaf colors. If anyone could come up with a sample high-quality photograph of a similar real leaf, I'd be happy to look at updating the texture.

2. IMO I don't see a reason for changing the image of Xerxes. There's nothing wrong with the updated version (nice skills actually), but there was an ambiguity with his original fuzziness and any sharpening of his image imo will look like another "person" to some of us (especially noticeable for me is the change caused by defining his mouth). More importantly, he looks more ethereal in original form and the ambiguity adds to the character. Was the change necessary in order to fix the logo underneath?
Xerxes and the Xerxes logo are separate textures. I actually felt the same sort of misgivings when Eldron first sent me his updated texture. In general, updating facial textures is much, much harder than any other kind of texture, because such a large percentage of our brain is dedicated to facial recognition. Anyway, I put the texture in-game despite my doubts, and got used to it pretty quickly. So I figure, if I can get used to it, anyone can!
I've updated the dev forum sneak peak thread with a few more screenshots.

This fella has a preposteroous collection of large photos of large leafed species.

They have a bit more colour variety than straight green. I don't know if it'll hold up after adjustment. The yellow in the original, I think, serves to cover for the yellow cast many leaves like that give off in the light rather than them being specifically yellow in colour, so good photos tend to eliminate it unfortunately.
Dunno if copyright is a problem (and dunno if suggesting somewhere to wade through is much help either)
There's also this photo of a
sculpture of a dieffenbachia leaf painted to that effect.

pictures might not be big enough, colour too flat, copyrights etc

Since Render-> Alpha 1.0 needs to be set for objects, do you plan to release a SHTUP gamesys, that includes other changes, such as ejecting brass (*wink*) and Straylight stuff?
I thought all that stuff had already been fixed in the Straylight gamesys.

Well, AFAIK, ejectingbrass is not in there, but now I get the point. Nice, real nice.

Did you forget I merged Straylight's and Ejecting Brass?

What?

Okay, now it makes sense. I'm just out of it right now. I "forgot" that it's all merged into a single, glorious gamesys. Any hints on where said gamesys is located?
ZB, I'm not hijacking the thread, it will back on topic, promise.:D

Louis Cypher, after seeing that thread on SBF, I am reminded of you doing that merge. Any trouble getting that merged with the latest ADaOB? Also, I've done some searching today and I'm not sure how to get hacked turrets to spit out the correct shells, since their is no actual "hacked" version of the turret in the heirarchy.
This one's for ZylonBane: have you gotten the turrets cleaned up for the next SHTUP release? Might be some nice object models for fixing. (Just see the nice low-res closeup of a turret in the SBF thread linked above)
